Flight 1 (1 note)

White
2021 Weingut Wagner von Wohlgemuthheim Gewürztraminer Isaac Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
89 points
Glass: Zalto Bordeaux
Popped and pured, drunk over two days. Quite rare to get a dry Gewürztraminer from the Mosel.
Clear, medium onion skin color. Unfiltered with lots of particles.
Clea, medium intense, developing nose. A bit oxidative/natural, muscat, floral notes.
On the palate quite dry, only 11,5% abv, medium acidity. Oxidative, orange zests, candied fruit, pepper, sesame, floral notes, chalk. Beautiful grip, medium length. Perfect wine with food. Makes fun alone, but with food it really blends in. Very interesting and beautiful. 88-89

Flight 2 (1 note)

White
2012 Nikolaihof Elisabeth Tradition Cuvée Austria, Niederösterreich, Wachau
87 points
Glass: Zalto Universal
Popped and poured, drunk over two days. Tasted blind. Cuvee from Riesling, Pinot blanc, Grüner Veltliner and Neuburger.
Clean, youthful medium golden color. Clean, medium intense, youthful developing nose. Stone fruit, spices, some weird wiped floor notes.
On the palate dry, medium acidity. 12,5% abv. Ripe stone fruit, spices, good structure, balanced. Medium, quite complex finish. Also with some strange, not really assignable flavors that I don't favor much. Very interesting, but not my wine. 86-88

Flight 3 (1 note)

White
2002 Georg Breuer Rauenthaler Nonnenberg Riesling Germany, Rheingau
95 points
Glass: Zalto Bordeaux
Popped and poured, drunk over three days. Perfect bottle.
Clear, glowing, medium golden color. Clean, pronounced, fully developed and amazing nose. Incredible perfume, very multi layered, deep, smoky and complex.
On the palate dry, medium+ ripe acidity, 12,5% abv. Amazing structure, balance, tension, harmony and grip. Lots of ripe stone fruit, crushed stones, spices. Weightless power and still fresh and young. Long, very complex, mineral finish. Will stay on this level for at least 5+ years. Awesome. 95-96

Flight 4 (1 note)

Rosé
2020 Vinas Mora Barbba Croatia, Dalmatia, Sjeverna Dalmacija
89 points
Glass: Zalto Bordeaux
Clear, hazy, ruby-garnet color. Clean, pronounced, youthful nose. Strawberry jam, mixed with herbs. Fresh and nice.
On the palate dry, medium acidity, 13,5% abv that is not noticeable. Very juicy, lots of strawberries, herbs and spices. Good balance, lots of joy. Perfect and delicious summer wine. 88-89

Flight 5 (1 note)

Red
2019 Gitana Winery Rară Neagră Moldova, Cahul, Valul-lui-Traian
88 points
Glas: Zalto Bordeaux
Popped and poured, drunk over three days, tasted blind.
Clear, deep ruby color. Clean, medium intense, youthful nose. Deep, spicy, smoky, some underbrush and wet soil, quite special.
Dry, but with a lot of sweet fruit and 14% abv it tastes a bit sweet. Medium+ acidity, high tannin. One day one quite massive, mellowed down on day three. Deep, dark fruit, spices, some not assignable flavors. Good grip, dense and balanced. Medium fruity and spicy finish. Still very young, potential for at least 5+ years. Nice. 88

Flight 6 (1 note)

Red
2009 Nicolas Rossignol Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Fourneaux France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru
88 points
Glass: Zalto Bordeaux
Popped and poured, tasted bind over three days.
Clear, deep garnet color. Clean, medium intense, fully developed, ripe nose. Warm, fine vanilla, herbaceous, some underbrush on day one, on day three lots of cooked fruit and tired.
Dry, 13% abv, medium+ acidity, fine, but massive tannin. Cherry cola, mineral notes, warm fruit, coffee. Round and balanced, a bit chubby. On day three gone... Drink now. 87-88

Flight 7 (1 note)

White - Off-dry
2009 Müller-Catoir Haardter Herzog Rieslaner Spätlese Germany, Pfalz
92 points
Glass: Zalto Universal
Popped and poured, tasted blind on day one, drunk over three days.
Clear, deep golden color. Clean, medium+ intense, developing nose. Fresh, still some citrus, honey, spices, ripe stone fruit, floral. Quite massive.
On the palate it reveals that it is a massive Auslese. Sweet, dense, creamy, almost oily. But also with a racy acidity, that struggles with taming the sweetness. Lots of ripe fruit, honey, spices. Dense, deep, complex, massive, almost mouth coating, long, spicy, fruity-sweet finish. Drinks great now, but will survive at least another decade. 92

Flight 8 (1 note)

White - Off-dry
1993 Karthäuserhof Eitelsbacher Karthäuserhofberg Riesling Auslese Nr. 30 Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
93 points
Glass: Zalto Universal
Popped and poured, tasted blind on day one, drunk over two days.
Clear, medium amber color. Clean, medium+ intense, fully developed nose of ripe exotic fruit, some smokiness, black currant, herbs. Classic Ruwer. Needs a few hours to fully blossom.
Racy acidity handles the sweetness perfectly. 7,5% abv. Lots of garden herbs, tangerine, crushed stones, multi-layered. Long and lingering finish. Great tension and finesse, precision and focus. Drink now, it will not get any better. 93

Flight 9 (1 note)

White - Off-dry
2017 Jidvei Muscat Ottonel Private Reserve Demidulce Romania, Transylvania, Târnave
86 points
Glass: Zalto Universal
Popped and poured, tasted blind.
Clear, youthful pale lemon color. Clean, medium+ intense, youthful nose with lots of herbs, sweet fruit, floral notes, blossoms, spices, everscent. Intense perfume, a bit penetrating. Off-dry, medium acidity. Herbaceous, floral, spicy. Very perfumed. Certainly well made, but I get headache after more than one glass. 86-87
