Flight 1 (8 notes)

White
2008 Momo Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand, South Island, Marlborough
88 points
10/10/09: Ditto.

9/1/09: Bright clean, with grapefruit and gooseberry. Clean NZ SB. Nice little roundness here too. I'm not a fan of NZ SB's lately, they all taste the same to me, but this was some quality juice.
White
2007 Triennes Viognier Sainte Fleur France, Provence, Var
88 points
9/1/09: Seems to have picked up some body over time. Much fuller nose. Pretty. Rich mouth feel, but the bright acidity allows it to work. This is good.

3/12/09: This was so much better then the last time I tried it a few months ago, and the best bottle yet I've had of this wine over a couple vintages. Got better with about an hour of air. Nice fruit, very viognier, but clean and crisp, with hints of stoniness. Very nice.
Rosé
2008 Triennes Rosé France, Provence, Var
89 points
9/1/09: Beautiful nose. Light to medium bodied. Almost cream mouthfeel. Soft, with strawberries. Good. 88

7/13/09: Pretty nose, with lots of strawberries. On the palate, soft and elegant, with great fruit and texture. Very well done. 89
Red
2007 Saintsbury Pinot Noir Carneros USA, California, Napa / Sonoma, Carneros
87 points
This price seems to have gone up for this in my market. It's over $30 now. Bright cherries. Very ripe on the palate. Almost sweet cola fruit. Fruit forward style. It not bad, just not what I expect from Saintsbury. 87-88
Red
2006 Saintsbury Pinot Noir Toyon Farm USA, California, Napa / Sonoma, Carneros
90 points
Muted nose. Great fruit, with some elegance as well. Very nice Pinot, and this will age well.
Red
2005 Collazzi Toscana IGT Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
88 points
Ripe, kind of burnt flavors. Nice acidity. Good, but I don't dig it. 87-88
Red
2006 Domaine la Barroche Châteauneuf-du-Pape Signature France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
92 points
Dark purple color. Rich, intense, spicy nose. A little meat component to it. Full, intense palate. Tasty stuff, but a little dense right now. Needs time.

Big, intense nose. Supe rich, full bodied attack. Not exactly delicate. Very intense. Really need to give this time. Some pretty powerful stuff.
