Mineral apple nose. Rich, bit lemon sweet tart. Light oak cereal. Interesting minerality and length. At $98 not interesting.

Very light, translucent ruby with a clear rim. Light wax, strawberry, touch of powder on the nose. Somewhat richer attack than I expected. Simple strawberry fruit forepalate with late earthy cigar tannins. I overheard someone else describe this as tight, but was not sure myself. $68.

Slightly deeper color than the preceding Delarche '07. Translucent garnet with a clear rim. Earthy, rich nose with a hint of floral rubber. Slightly tannic with red berry fruit and a hard finish. $56.

Translucent garnet. Strong peppery, cat's pee nose very reminiscent of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Medium tangy red fruit trending toward rhubarb. Strange. Possibly flawed, though the importer didn't seem to indicate such, making me think the entire vintage is like this. Don't get it. $76.

Slight brown tint to an otherwise garnet, translucent appearance with a clear rim. Earthy nose. Rich dark cherry fruit. Ok. Rustic. $106.

Translucent bright dark garnet. Slightly deeper in color than the preceding wines. High toned cherry, earth, chalk, with a touch of lime zest on the nose. Sweeter attack with bright fruit tending toward raspberry. Tangy. Pretty good. $65.

Bright translucent magenta. Reticent nose of earth. Sweetish attack of black cherry fruit. Turns tangy with citrus qualities late. Pretty good, but a bit too tangy in the finish for me. $59.

Deeper color than the preceding Magnien wines. Translucent garnet. Complex nose of earth, chalk, old wood, stems. Stemmy black cherry fruit on the palate. This is a pretty wine. Not sure about $.

Moderately deep, translucent ruby appearance. Earth, fruit rind, and a touch of something more exotic, like sandalwood and cigar spice. Slightly chewy red fruit on the palate. Somewhat short? Interesting nose, but I'm not interested at this price. $255.

Varietally correct aromas of wax, floral violet, and pretty tar. Pretty nose, suggesting a rather soft wine, but the palate showed more chewy with dark fruit flavors. Seems a bit one dimensional and hard in its present state. I heard another taster describe it as oaky, but it didn't make that impression on me. $63.

Dark garnet, slightly translucent. Sweet smelling with a slight vanilla note over black cherry, garrigue, and a wax note. Sweet red and black fruit attack with a nuance of lavender. Ripe. Very nice. $39.

Dark garnet, translucent. A bit of horse leather funk on the nose. Sweet attack of bright dark fred fruit with some chocolate covered cherry nuance followed by a finish that suggested whisky barrel. Should have revisited this one, but the overall impression was pretty favorable. $34.

Dark garnet, translucent. The nose is similar to the Les Quartz CdR - horse leather and cherry, but overall less funky. Sweet waxy cherry fruit attack with a suggestion of hard candy. Nice texture. This is pretty good, but at $95, I'd prefer the CdR at $34.

Includes 12% Viognier. Dark garnet, translucent.High toned lime, dark fruit, black cherry. Slightly peppery floral. Tangy red fruit attack with a slight floral olive note. Okay to pretty good. $90.

Includes 3% Viognier. Slightly deeper color than the Le Cret, still translucent garnet. Lime, high toned dark fruit and leather. Dark fruit with a complex finish of sweet apricot and lavender. Interesting - pretty good. $90.

100% Syrah. Medium garnet, slightly translucent. Lime, leather, dark fruit nose, somewhat less high toned than the two cuvees which include Viognier. Sweet, slightly candied red fruit. A pretty wine. $90. I think this is my favorite of the '07 Gaillard lineup.
