Deep purple like the rest of the Northern Rhones of the evening. This wine was the clear favorite of the group, cherry, black cherry and currant.

Deep ink purple, in fact all 4 Northern Rhones we blind tasted were virtually identical in color. Black cherry and currant notes. #2 of 4 tasted blind.
Red
2002 E. Guigal Hermitage
91 points
This wine displayed the same dark purple ink color that was consistent with all other Northern Rhones tasted blind. In addition to the cherry notes I got hints of plum, nice mouthfeel and texture, my personal favorite of the evening. #3 of 4 tasted blind
Red
2006 M. Chapoutier Crozes-Hermitage Petite Ruche

Same dark purple ink as all other Northern Rhones tasted blind. The nose and taste were a little more barnyard than the rest, blackberry some currant. #4 of 4 tasted blind
Flight 3 - Dinner flight (1 note)

2006 J.L. Chave Sélection St. Joseph Offerus

Consistent with prior notes, silky cherry nicely balanced not tasted blind but runner up for evening.
