Full fruit forward blackberry saddle, cigar box; full acidity when first poured, but well developed tannins ease it nicely; decanted for 1 plus hour it balanced off nicely; full mid palate; bit of alcohol on finish; may evolve; a full bodied claret that paired well with NY strip steak

started out a bit funky but mellowed over several hours; needs food - Italian is likely choice , it is a Chianti ! A Wall St Journal selection so good price point and I wasn't expecting too much. A decent basic Chianti

Ruby-garnet in the glass with aromas of black fruit, rose petals, spice and sandalwood. Dry, very approachable with soft texture, good balance and silky tannins. Very well priced.

big nose of blackberry, saddle ; cigar box; big fruit is stlll not in balance but after an hour of air came around and met the match of a sirloin in steak in all the rigtht ways; blackberry , tapanade, chocolate cherries, some menthol, terroir in spades; not a classic CNP but a complex wine that should age well; tannins acidity is now still off; some heat on finish but smooth mid palate

Sleek and polished in the mouth, with surprising refinement, pepper notes, tapanade, bosenberry; From 100% Cabernet, this shows polish, presence, ripeness (14% alcohol), and even some complexity. great QPR

Bouquet: Cherry, raspberry, damp earth, game, red flowers and cigar box. As the wine opened up it transitioned to dark fruit aromas of blackberry, plum and licorice. On the palate the initial impression was of fierce sour cherry, pomegranate, ripe raspberry, clove, cinnamon and impressions of blood orange. The wines acidity is huge, bordering on being out of balance. Medium bodied, big on the mid-palate. Congruent with the nose, as the wine breaths the flavor profile shifts to darker blackberry fruits. Overall a nice, hedonistic, fruit forward wine

Lighter ruby color. Nose of freshly crushed blueberry, anise, earth, leather, florals. Compact, dense flavors of mineral-inflected raspberry and black cherry layered with iron and green tea notes. Wonderful fine-grained texture and enhanced acidity adding complexity and interest. Long, minerality finish grippy with strong tannins.
