Drinking past the ideal window, but wine has held up fine, despite the disintegrated cork. A little thin, but getting cherry fruit and some light tannins on the finish.
Red
One of my favorite Biale zins. Rich cherry fruit with a suitcase full of tannin. Probably would benefit from some more time in the bottle.

Rich velvety leather, dark plum flavors, with tons of spice on the finish.
Red
Oak, leather - not as fruit forward as many Napa zins - well balanced tannins and fruit (blackberry). Really yummy!

Age becomes this wine. Deep, rich cherry fruit. Age has removed all of the sharp edges from this delicious wine. Chewy yumminess.

Solid but unremarkable. Claire says it’s light on the tongue, but aged well, as we would all like to do. One of the nicer 17 year olds she has spent time with. LOL

Cork disintegrated but wine was fine. Loads of brambly fruit and rich leather. Inky black color. Softening edges on the tannins, but I think it has reached a point of diminishing returns.

Cherry fruit, musty, brambles, stormy cherry character. Aged really well, still has great backbone and character.

Tobacco, leather, olives, black pepper, mild tannins, hint of cardboard. Fruit is boysenberry and tart raspberry. A lot happening for such an inexpensive wine.

Aroma of cigars on the nose. Bitterness laced with strawberry fruit. Reasonably complex for an inexpensive wine.

Decent easy drinking wine albeit one dimensional.

Recommended purchase at Arrowine for a daily drinker. Enjoyable food wine, dry to the point of astringent. A bit one dimensional with strawberry notes to hints of bitter cherry.
Red
Deep black cherry color; almost primordial earthiness; complexity without any overly dominant flavor. Would blend well with food by enhancing rather than dominating. Good tannic structure. In its prime IMO.

Medium purple colors, strong notes of vanilla and licorice, with some hints of cardboard on the finish. Tannins, leather, plum fruit. Not your typical fruit bomb!
Red
Tart cherry and raspberry fruit predominates this lighter-bodied Zinfandel. Not a fruit bomb, it shows good tannic structure. Good food wine!

Bold, but smooth, was the consensus. Smooth on the palate and tart on the finish like an underripe raspberry. Nice "dirty" nose like mushrooms. Went really well with halibut and salmon.

Cork had dried out and it disintegrated upon opening. Filtered and decanted, the wine came out better than expected. Nice subtle leathery tannins and well-blended flavors of licorice, blackberry, and plum. At the point of diminishing returns, though, so glad we opened it!

Smooth, velvety, fluffy mouthfeel. Flavors are predominantly blackberry with hints of strawberry. Peppery warmth on the back of the throat, with hints of cloves. Paired with mild Moroccan lamb stew.

Cork had disintegrated, wine had leaked, but miraculously it had not gone bad. Licorice, smoke, leather, a little candy apple. Better than expected!

Spectacular wine. Nearly opaque. Starts bright and a little citrusy, finishes with mild tannin and oak. Plum and cherry are the predominate fruits, with some hints of orange. Layered goodness, will cellar well, but alas, I have no more bottles at the moment!

Licorice, Light tannins, and a well-balanced blend of fruit, with nothing that stands out specifically. This is an easy-drinking wind that would pair well with most foods.

Ripe plum, front and center. Nice mineral finish with earthy overtones. Eminently quaffable.

Light-bodied for a Zinfandel. Predominant cherry flavors with a lingering pepper finish. Hints of plum and stone fruit as well. Will doubtless improve as the flavors blend with age.
