ripe red fruit, bit cooked, leather nose.
Long finish, tannins on the front row and a bit sharp, but very enjoyable.

Nose of wet pine wood, like walkin in a pine forest just after it rained. Then more fruit with cherry chocolate liquor bonbons. Strong wine, quite alcoholic, but not too much acidity as you would expect. The american oak gives it a "new world" - wine like touch, but definitely not in a negative way.

Nothing to add on previous notes. Crispy, fruity, spicy and even a bit salty on the tongue. Interesting in the nose with animal scents combined with ripe red fruit. This wine pairs easily with a wide range of dishes.

Fresh, modern, still purple colored wine with fresh berry fruit, garigue, pepper and dark chocolate. High in alcohol but enough complexity and balance to deal with it.

Sweet and ripe fruit nose with dark chocolate and nougat. The wine is not yet ready though. The wine is a little bit sharp on the edges and the wood is not entirely blended. Lots of potential.

Sulfur touches are gone. Red fruit remains. Noticeable presence of vegetative touches like eucalyptus and freshly cut grass, apart from almond. Still too young though.

This must be the greatest wine I ever had in my cellar, and also the first time I manage to open a wine so close at his peak!
The nose opens with etheric scents, leather, animal skin, humus and fresh red fruit in the end. Tannins are almost all merged and are so softly balanced with mokka and some vanilla to accompany it with.

Herbs (rosemary), red fruit, and a slight negative candy touch. The elegance of the fruit, herbs and acidity in the nose however outperform the candy spoilsport. The wine drinks easily and is accompanied with a nice complex balance of how ripe shiraz should be. Ok finish and good acidity. Lots of wine for little money.

Notes of dried fruit, almond, apricot and honey in the nose. However the first signs of oxidation can also be perceived, also in the finish. Still a well balanced wine though with a really pleasant acidity that sticks till the end.

Vanilla cake and almond nose, together with the fresh clean wet wood reveals a wine being aged on healthy oak barrels. Anise and red juicy fruit finish it with a nice long finish.

Nicely evolved, bit watery lacking some concentration. Black berry fruit and cassis in the nose. At its best right now. Drinks quit easy. Bit harsh in the end though (bitter end).

Nose of cake, caramel and kattetongen (belgian cookies with vanilla and butter) stuffed with crispy blackberry and topped with garrigue herbs. Also noticeable are some leather and tobacco. Mouth filling wine with black cherries and some coffee, balanced elegantly with enough acidity to counter the alcohol. Terrific and long finish!

Slight color evolution. Superb nose! All fruit and fig, red berry fruit, raspberry and liquorice. Taste is like the tail to expect from the nose but lacks a bit of concentration. Tannins are smooth, and the finish is quite long actually. Great price quality wine!

Another example of a well made Rousillon representing summer in a glass! This one would pair well with gratin dishes with herbs de provence. It has a nose of thyme, earl grey tea and berry fruit, and fills the mouth quite nicely and balanced with really smooth tannins. It won't get any better by letting it rest.

If I would have tasted it blindly I definitely would have thought it to be a 2003 merlot with dark fruit, lots of concentration, a little bit burnt (but not too much), coffee (mocha) and prunes. But it isn't ...
It really drinks nice, but I would give it some more years to lose the edges. Definitely an interesting wine.
Personally I find it rather expressive, as I can really remember a month later how it tasted, with enough complexity to make it interesting.

Ink black colored wine with thick and slow legs. Soft and smooth in the mouth with bread pudding spiced with cinnamon and cloves. Spices remain long and finish with hints of bitter chocolat, coffee and lots of blueberry fruit.

Exciting and spicy. Cherry and raspberry fruit, elderberry. So full and round in the mouth not revealing its age. This one was my favorite in a blind tasting with Delas Hermitage 1998 (marquize de la tourette), Delas Côte Rotie (seigneur de maugiron) 1998 and Delas Crozes Hermitage 1998 (tour d'albon)

Not a winner in a blind tasting this one. Peaty in the nose with leather and tabacco. Fruit was present so the wine remained interesting. However quite on his return now unless my bottle was a bit flawed.

Ink colored wine. Berry fruit, paprika, and almond in the nose. After breathing for a day, corked, the wine really opened up, balanced, with soft tannins. It misses some body and complexity for a higher score. I would let it age for a couple of years.

The wine looks dark deep red with medium legs. Plum compote mixed with green red rabarber nose covered with white chocolate. Tasty wine with silk soft tannins, well bodied and complex finishing with a bitter chocolate structure. Nice long finish. Surprising wine!

Wine is still a little bit closed. Decanting it and waiting a few hours reveals black fruit and spices behind animal scents. Coffee, cherry liquor and milk chocolate comes next. This wine is complex and elegant. The taste is elegant, complex but misses a little bit of body. The aftertaste is nice and long.
