Pineapple on the nose with peach on the taste. Beautiful wine.

Damn good Napa cab. Not overly fruity on the nose, but enough to keep things interesting with hints of cherry and blackberry. Nice mouthfull with solild, but not overly long, finish. Compares well to Jordan.

This is an incredible wine. Wonderful cherry falvors well balanced with a full earthy and spicy body.

A lot of depth with hints of cedar and plum. Great with grilled meat and cheese.

I thought this wine was great. Fruit on the nose and long on the finish. Will appeal to even non-Bordeaux drinkers. One caveat: I bought at $25/bottle, which is a good deal; I am now seeing this at $40, which is too high.

This is a great wine. The texture and feel make it unique among other California Cabs. I would have liked some more action on the nose, but the overall feel of the wine makes up for it. That being said, Caymus is at least 20% overpriced due to its name.

My new favorite Malbec. Very lush and coating on the palate with cherries on the nose. Keep a couple bottles handy for a mixed grill on the BBQ during the Summer.

This is a great wine. Herbs and tomato on the nose like a good Cab Franc should have. A wonderful and unique bottle. The only downside is that at $90, the price tag makes it a once in a while indulgence (at least for me).

I really wanted to love this bottle and had such high hopes for a kick butt bottle of Barolo for only $40, but it just didn't deliver. Full disclosure, I only decated for 45 minutes, so maybe more aeration would have made a difference

Every now and then, Gary V. lets me down. This is a prime example. No complexity, just straight blah terrior without any fruit or real rugged Bordeaux depth. Nothing to see here, move on to something better for $20.

Without a doubt the best value out there for a Cali Cab. I'm not sure why this wine has not caught on more, but I'm not complaining b/c I don't want the price to go up. Has the velvet texture of a $50 Cali Cab without oppressive tannins so it will appeal to non-Cabophiles. Grab it when you find it.

This is the best value wine I have found in a long time. Definite New World style with fruit forward granache. Great QPR (I've seen it for as low as $14). Great weekday value and snazzy enough for a fine weekend meal or impressing friends.

This is a wonderful example of what granache can be. At $20-25, this a great QPR. Ripe fruit on the nose and chocolate on the finish, buy this one when you find it.
