slight bricking, but apparently oxidized or madierized. didn't show anything when opened and got worse over 3 hours. (has been in professional storage from release until last week)

I expected this to be way past it's prime. Really nice wine. Depth of red fruit is still there, still good structure. And enough acidity for great balance. I'm sorry it's our last one of these.

Bottle was flawed or well past its prime. Significant bricking, red-orange in color. Signs of oxidation on the palate. Has been in professional storage facility since purchase, so hopefully my 2 remaining bottles will show more life.

Great bottle of pinot!

Old Cab night with burgers. Bottle was in professional storage since release.
Not good. It's as if someone wanted to make a crowd-friendly non-alcoholic wine; sort of like wine flavored cool-aid. To be fair, the cork and capsule were bulging very slightly, but I don't think the wine inside had a chance. One more bottle in the cellar, so we'll see what's up with that one.
After giving up on this, opened a 2001 Bressler cab (roughly half the price of "M") stored in same storage facility, and it's very good and getting better as the night goes on.

It's real and it's spectacular. :-)

Best wine I've had in a long time, and we've opened some winners in the last year (SQN, Harlan, Bond, QC, Saxum, Alban, Pax, Peay, some great Carlisles, Aussies, northern Rhones...). You could pick up the nose from across the room when the first glass was poured - floral, beautiful fruit, not over-ripe at all, more amazing floral notes. There's nothing dulling this wine on the nose or palate, but not in any way over-bearing...this bottle was singing.

Not impressed. good color, but that's about it - weak on palate, with no length or grip. maybe better on second day?

Both Laurie and I immediately got that weird carbonation-like thing that you sometimes get from Pinot Noir. Not very enjoyable

More viscous and probably more tannic than the 07 Ridge East Bench enjoyed at the same time.

I thought this was allright Solid QPR (with case discount). As good on day 2 as day 1. Lots of pepper compared to a 2007 Ravenswood Teldeschi opened at same time.
Fruit provile seems part raspberry / part stonefruit (like plums)?

Definately a big, ridiculously dark new world cab. But if you'r in the mood for the style, i think it's a decent value

I liked this. Deep ruby color. not much on the nose, but nice acidity balancing dark, nearly stewed fruit. Plent enjoyable without food, but better with penne and local sausage puttanesca.

I like this. Pepper, ripe fruit and dusty tannin. Sort of mushroomy nose. It's big but chalky and savory enough that it's not cloying. I'd guess this would be better in a year or two, but not 5+ yrs.

Very pronounced "carbonated" quality that didn't blow off. Cola, sweet, very ripe fruit. Not my cup of tea...like a not-so-good syrah, but without the tannin or complex savory elements.

Nice briary notes with cinnamon and black fruit on the nose. Similar on the palate, with just a little too much liquor on both. Not a bad buy for $23, and a nice wine for the Indian take-out we’re having. Silton put it well below - just not precise (enough). But a decent QPR just the same. Will probably improve with a little more time.

I’ve got 4 of these still hanging around so I popped one – starting to turn brick red (in Vinum Bdx glass). Still some nice red fruit plus blueberry on the nose, but muted. Also some juniper. Palate of bright black fruit (if that's possible) with floral components, good acidity. Medium bodied. And surprisingly it got better over two hours. Certainly not a blockbuster, but pretty nice! The kind of pleasant suprise that makes hanging onto an inexpensive bottle for a few years fun.

Another great QPR Zin from Neal. Big, big wine. Already suprisingly accessable, but should improve considerably with time. Opened 2 hrs and paired well with chorizo-spiced braised butt!

Purchased in the tasting room on Sunday; shipped back to CT & received Wednesday; opened Thursday. I won’t claim to have a finely calibrated palate, but this wine was definitely not over the hill. Slight bricking near the meniscus, but otherwise very saturated color. Huge expressive nose. Red currant, briar, smoky oak and maybe some strawberry. I wouldn’t hold for too much longer, but if I could preserve this wine at this point in it’s development I’d buy by the case.

inky purple. immediately out of the bottle nose of leather, earth, spice and black fruit, maybe some lead pencil. palate carried more of the fruit focus. fairly tannic. I like the nose more than palate right now, but will come back tomorrow.

i actually liked this wine a lot - better than the last 3 bottles of Lynch Cab i've opened. Good varietal charachteristics, and reasonable level of toasty oak (although some may find it too much). I'd call this a good QPR. (Rating considers price)

Drunk over two nights. Showing some heat now that detracts. Nose muted even on 2nd night. Some strawberry and briary components. Not much else i can pick out, but still yummy. Good potential - should wait a year or so, but i probably won't be able to do it, and pop another one sooner.

Opened and double decanted. Initial nose of bright cherry. Ruby, Lighter-bodied than many CA Pinots. Well banaced from beginning, but really improved with 2-3 hours of air as complexity of flavors begin to show, with earthy elements complimenting fruit, cinamon (or nutmeg?) and the wine taking on just a tiny bit mor weight. Good stuff.

More round, lighter bodied and shorter finish that i like in CdP. But good fruit. Wine just seemed a bit muted, like a wine served too cold. Maybe bottle slightly off? Although, i seem to like it as much as Tanzer...
