Once again, completely closed upon opening and needed every bit of 2 1/2 to 3 hours in the decanter to open, then it was quite a delight! The midweight flavors of earthy cassis, slightly greenish brambly notes, pipe tobacco and cocoa are pretty and surprisingly light on their feet. However, I was expecting abit more depth and complexity from this wine in this particular vintage, otherwise, quite nice.

This was drinking extraordinarily well tonight with rich, penetrating dark fruit, brambly sous bois and bright vosne spice. The tannins on the long finish are still fairly firm, but not at all obtrusive.

This had a very expressive nose tonight with the aromas of rich, earthy, dark red fruit, sous bous and bright floral notes, all of which carried thru to the penetrating, fairly rustic and masculine palate. To my tastes this was drinking very well tonight very soon after opening and is in a very good place right now. That being said, I think this has a very long life ahead of it.

This is the second bottle of this wine that I opened tonight, the first was oxidized, and this one was drinkable but on the edge. One left, we'll see.

Dark and fairly rustic, but drinking very well tonight soon after opening.

Just noticed that I payed $15 as a bin end at Binny's. At that price, this was an extraordinary qpr.

Sadly, my last bottle, and drinking beautifully. There's an abundance of bright, penetrating, earthy dark red fruit, brambly sous bous notes and a longish finish with fairly fine, chalky, well integrated tannins, all in a fairly rustic format. Quite delicious!!!

This is maturing into a really nice dry Riesling with lots of rich, penetrating, tropical and stone fruit, petrol undertones and bracingly acidic minerality at its core. It's deeply amber colored and was drinking well soon after drinking.

This is a really nice Cali PN with an abundance of penetrating, earthy dark fruit along with a spicy, peppery core, all followed by a longish finish on which the bulk of the tannins have resolved. All in all quite nice, but even though there's lots of fruit here, it's not plagued by the typical forwardness of most Cali PNs that leaves even the best of them tasting generic to me. This one's a winner and I wish I had bought more of it. Also, it has a really great qpr!

This was extraordinary tonight! The rich, penetrating dark red fruit was earthy and brambly with baking spice and floral undertones and subtle hints of cocoa lurking in the background. Slight bricking throughout with slightly chalky tannins on the long, lingering finish. Drinking well almost immediately after opening.

A bit darker than we usually like but still quite nice. My lower score reflects the $24 price point. There's lots of rose at lower prices that are as good or better..

Nice enough, but I'm not sure where the high scores come from. This is fine, but rather generic and uninteresting and certainly not worth the price point.

This is a fairly big PN with pretty good concentration to its earthy, dark red fruit and baking spice notes, however, it seems to be lacking depth and complexity, which at this price point, is a pretty big flaw to me. Otherwise, very nice.

My wife likes oaky Cali chardonnay while I prefer Chablis, so there aren't a lot of chards that we share, but this is one that puts a smile on both of our faces with pretty, delicate pear and citrus fruit, firm minerality, some nori notes, all famed in noticeable, but subtle oak. Quite nice but not sure about the qpr.

This is a really nice domestic PN with lots of earthy, minerally, bluish, red fruit with pretty good depth in a light to midweight format. In an era when big, bold, forward Pinot is the norm, its refreshing to find a wine that seems to favor finesse.

My second to last bottle and what an elegant, mature beauty. The delicate stone and tropical fruit flavors are soft and round with supporting baking spice(mostly nutmeg) undertones. If I had to find any fault with this delightful bottle of wine, it would be that it was lacking slightly in acidity leaving it feeling abit flabby, but that's nitpicking, all in all, this was a pleasurable experience from start to finish. I'll probably be drinking up my last bottle in the near future.
