My favorite from Under the Wire yet. Toasty on the nose and palate with a subtle citrusy finish. Drink up!

Interesting wine, this. If you have some, drink up.

Drank two different bottles over two nights. Wine from the first bottle was deep gold in color and had a definite funk on opening. I almost poured the wine out, as it had a harsh, overly woody aroma and taste. 30 minutes in the glass evened this out and revealed a Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon blend that seemed more reminiscent of an aged, oaked Chardonnay, with honey and butterscotch flavors. I was glad that I didn't pour the wine out.

The second bottle was much less golden and much less funky. While some of the characteristics from night one were present, the aromas and flavors were much more subtle and well integrated. A nice wine for food or for sipping.

As I indicated at the start - if you got 'em, drink 'em.

8/10/19, 2:38 PM - wilypod - I agree with you wholeheartedly about Bedrock wines. We've been on the allocation list for about 5 or 6 years (maybe longer). The wines almost never disappoint, so this was a little unusual. Thanks for your insights (and yours too, RichEB1!).
