This is the one that I remember from the Thunder Cruise. So good! Sweet but not overly so, with nutty notes on top of the dried fruit flavors.

Currently 15 years of age and drinking well. Dry fruits like black cherry and blackberries with an iron backbone.

This 375ml bottle may be a bit past its' prime. A loss of fruit and freshness is as expected in this format size and age. Color is still a decently vibrant red with little oxidation. Tannins are softer now. Perhaps a little bit tired.

Expressive black cherry on the nose, with a very fruity and pleasant soft mouthfeel balanced with enough acid and general delicious if not very complex quality. Good with grilled sausage and cheesecake. Drink now.

Decent with barbecue, though a bit more oak than fruit.

Nose of orange peel and dried fruit. Palate was dried fruits and finish was medium long with big almonds.

Some honey, yeast, peach on the nose. Nice effervescent tingle on the tongue with mouth-filling fruit (peaches, something else I can't place). Nicely balanced acid.

Mild honey and peaches on the nose. Light honey, peaches and apricot on the palate with acid to keep it light and quaffable. Almost enough complexity, but just not quite there.

peach/apricot nose, orange peel and pink grapefruit on the palate. Balanced but not greatly interesting, with a feeling that some of the thickness that is missing would help it out.

Dry honey on the nose, orange peel and dried apricot with a bitter finish that turns watery except for the alcohol burn.

A bit too high in alcohol taste for me. Otherwise, nutty (almond?) with a little bit of sweetness.

A bit thin, watery, otherwise a decent sweet wine. A touch of acetone and the alcohol was a bit high for me causing a hot throat sensation. Dry honey flavor and an unidentifiable flower (acacia?)

A slight acetone hint with somewhat balanced sweet versus acid. Floral scent/flavors and unidentified fruits, dried honey. Better after a couple weeks in the refrigerator.

Golden yellow color, slight sweet floral nose, LEMON and mineral flavor with a good amount of acidity. I was a bit disappointed because I bought it by the description that included apricot, but I did not find it here. This wine is a bit past its' prime.

Classic Sauternes nose, but the palate was too much in the lemon zest and pith for me, almost grapefruit flavors. Light mouthfeel. Pretty good acid and not cloying at all. I wanted something more.

Tasted after several other bottles, but held its' own. I was sure that a Chardonnay even late harvest would have some bitterness to it, but this one did not and it tasted like many other sweet white dessert wines with notes of apricot, honey and with a mouth-coating quality.

Smells of honey, very fruity with peach, peach fuzz, apricot and honey on the palate. As it warms up some orange peel comes out as well. Held up well after about 1 week in the refrigerator. Yummy! Small bottle, but good QPR.

Very high acidity definitely balances the sweetness. Dry honey notes on nose and on the palate along with orange peel. Not bad but rather one dimensional.

This tastes like a cross between a sauvignon blanc and a viognier or albarino. It definitely has the crisp green edge and grapefruit flavors of a sauvignon blanc, but the other flavors definitely soften the edge. High acid but with a little too much alcohol bite on the front end for my taste.

El Calie: A very sweet, but with enough acid to keep it light, Moscato D'asti. Smelled and tasted like Spree candy (not citrus, but other fruits). Enjoyable for those who like the sweet stuff, but enough balance to keep it from being gloppy. As with all Moscato D'Asti's, love the light effervescence!

This is my second tasting of this wine. Previously tried at a large wine sampling event after many other wines and felt that it had a mocha (chocolate & coffee) flavor. This time around Dark roast coffee overwhelms just about anything else on both the nose and palate. Good with dark chocolate which softens the coffee bitterness a bit. A whisp of chocolate was barely detectable on the palate this time.

Tasted #2 of 5. Very classic Riesling flavors, even the hint of Kerosene that I was not expecting from this Napa Valley offering. Delicious, off-dry but feels sweeter due to the fruitiness.

If you wanted honey-sweet this is not your wine. It has refreshing acidity with tangerine peel and other unidentified citrus flavors. Somewhat one-dimensional, but nice in its' way. Drank with friends several days later and it keeps well.

I let it breathe in the bottle about 30 minutes. This wine loves food! I tried it with pizza, chocolate, fruit, veggie chips, cinnamon apple chips and all went pretty well with this wine. It has enough acid to be very food-friendly. Dark cherry nose. blackberry and cedar box with silky soft tannins on the palate. I am not fond of Cab. Sauv. because I can't really taste the fruit behind the tannins. This Grenache really solved that problem for me. It may be at its' prime now. I liked it a little better around 60 degrees over room temp.

Very alcoholic nose and flavor, hopefully will be better on the second day. I know it is a Ruby Port, but I expected some raisin flavor which this did not have. I actually like the fresh red fruit flavors. It is not very complex and if the alcohol dissipates some it should be an easy sipping Port.

One of the best Moscato D'Asti's I have had. Flowery honey nose and peach & apricot on the palate with the perfect amount of small bubbles (mousse-like). And the bottle is very pretty too!
