Smoke, earth, cherry, rich on the palate. Tastes almost more like a Carneros pinot than a RRV. Lovely.

We were worried this bottle was blown when we saw the cork, but happily we were wrong. A really lush expression of Oregon pinot. Nursing it to make it last as long as possible...

Throwing off a fair bit of sediment, but lovely. Inky dark cherry cola/fruit, not too tannic, round mouthfeel, juicy with a long finish.

Light creamy and bready/yeasty (but in a good way), but balanced with good acidity and structure. The perfect starter for our holiday get-together tonight.

Man, what a steal for $19.99. Dark, luscious berry and vanilla on the nose, balanced by lovely soft but still-present tannins.

Has held up surprisingly well, although not the sexy slap you usually get from a zin like this. Also surprised that it didn't taste "hot" despite the 16.5% alcohol content (although my husband felt it the next morning).
