A good rose wine. Fresh fruited and high on tartness. Perhaps a bit thin bodywise, but all in all a good wine

Young and fresh. Succulent and delightful. Slight bitterness to be expected from such a young wine. Utterly delightful and enjoyable.

Dark golden color. Nose has ripe bananas, toasted hazelnuts and dried fruit. Clearly developed but calms down after an hour in the decanter and gives a rounded, full and concentrated experience with plenty of acidity to back the ripeness. Drink now.

Clear and structured Chianti. Prominent but integrated tannins. Lots of fresh and succulent fruit. Grows in the glass and gives plenty of charm right now, but will vastly improve by some years in the cellar.

This bottle was a bit untypical. Almost had a biodynamic quality to it, and was difficult to pinpoint as pinot. A shame, as my last bottle was flawless.

Degorged 2008. Golden color, intense nose and palate. A wonder of a Champagne, but will not benefit from additional cellartime. Starting to show secondary notes of ripe apples and caramel.

Started out right from the bottle a bit closed and muted on the nose and palate. Grew during a couple of hours, but started to shine on day 2 after recorking and putting away 75% of the bottle in a cold room.

Fresh fruited nose, enticing and alluring with lots of floral notes as well as cherries and redcurrant. Palate has medium intensity with well integrated 2015-tannins. This one will benefit from 3-5 years of cellaring

The nose on this one is fantastic. Ripe and mature burgundian nose full of secondary aromas of dirty wet forest moss, mushrooms, partially developed cherries and an underlying tinge of green forest twigs.
The palate on the other hand, dissappoints me. My tasting note from 5 years ago serms fitting still. A lot of power and intensity in this wine, but it is overshadowed by a green tannic layer which never seems to diminish with air. It seems like a mantra with this vintage. Unbalanced twiggy tannins. But the fruit and intensity is also present. Just not in the driver seat.

Starts out with a nose of cherries and crushed cherry kernels with a hint of bonfire. The force is strong in this one. The palate is a bit tight at first, but opens beautifully up after an hour. Intense and luscious fruit, powerful and elegant. Still plenty of tannins in here, but finely distributed within the structure of the wine. A wonderful wine with a long life ahead of it.

Much the same as my last bottle. Starts out a bit funky on the nose and needed to be decanted to get rid of the whiff of barnyard and plastic. Palate is powerful and fruity. Lots of primary fruit; blackberries, crowberries, bell pepper, leather and ground white pepper. A bit more unbalanced than the last bottle, but nothing wrong.

Dark red cloudy color. Some grainy sediment here. Nose is quite expressive with partially developed cherry fruit, mushrooms and a rounded, full nose of delightfulness.

The palate is intense and it seems finally some of the 2003’s are coming around after quite a slumber. This one has fruity intensity, plenty of grainy tannins and everything is in perfect balance now.

A marvel of a wine bought in France for 18€, 7 years ago. Seems like a steal right now compared to todays prices.

Started out a bit dirty on the nose. Some barnyard and newly unwrapped plastic flotation device. But it blew away nicely after an hour leaving classic north Rhone fragrances of white pepper, blackcurrant, leather, dried meat and crowberries. Palate is also impressive and intense with lots of power and concentration. Very good effort!

Nose has lots of secondary notes of leather, spicy floral magnolia. Powerful palate with fruity, tannic and sweel spicy fruit. The vintage comes through with a high level of tart fruit, but luckily this wine has punch and energy enough to overcome the vintage characteristics and end up a nicely balanced wine.

Needed 6 hours of air to open up. Thick and concentrated nose with sweet spiced fruit and sour cream. Vosne spice with lots of light floral components.
Palate has intense and balanced fruit filling the palate with a long lingering spicy and fruity finish. Very good! Tannins are also aplenty and quite balanced within the wine.

From halv bottle. Starting to get a bit orange bricking in the edges, center core is still deep ruby red.

Perfumed, intense nose. Candied cherries, marzipan, orange peel. Complex and exciting.

Palate is intense and powerful with tart cherries and spices. Still some tannins present. This wine is good, but not stellar. Well balanced but lacks a bit complexity and concentration on the palate. Do not think this will improve much more. The wine seems to lack the power to compete with the acidity over the long haul. Drink up.

Comes right out of the bottle deep ruby red. Nose is big, bold and elegant. Floral notes twirl all over the glass. Some smoke and bonfire, cherries and partially developed intense fruit. Wonderful nose!

The palate is instantly a winner. Concentrated, velvety fruit which punches far above its appellation. I have tasted many villages and some premier crus weaker than this wine. Fantastic piece of winemaking. The vintage is beginning to show its true colors now after 5 years. It’s a very good vintage resting in the shadow of 2015. Earlier accessable than 2015, but still very much a structured and delightful vintage made for a long life in the cellar. Really enjoyable. Long, lingering finish with sweet, spiced fruit and deliciousness.

This wine has really blossomed after 9 years cellaring. It seems both elegant and rustic at the same time, with gentle floral notes and a seamless palate, but still retains the charming bit of masculinity you can find in some Gevrey wines. Really good!

And the palate follows the nose with impressive intensity of cold, delightful fruit, concentration and floral elegance. This is almost exactly what I would hope for in a high class Chambolle village wine. Textbook terroir. Splendid and awesome.

Surprisingly young still. A nice combination of primary fruits and partially developed notes of mushroom, forest floor and some orange peel. Tannins aplenty. This wine still has many years to go, but I am not sure it will ever become an elegant Burgundy. It will become interesting though.
