I don't know what "frisk och fraesch" means (please see below - it sounds rather naughty to me) but this is Chablis of the highest quality. No oak, so you are getting the wine in its full purity. Some might deem it a little understated (I suppose that is why oak was introduced in the first place), but this is a charming wine, svelte, elegant, with tones of mineral, pear and green banana. It is, however, the balance in the mouth that counts, where is a wonderful light texture and lingering taste.

The wines of Louis Michel the elder had perhaps more depth, but I am warming to this particular new style of wine making from this domaine. What they are producing is very nuanced and subtle.

One of the Best chardonay that I have tasted. Makes over oaked California and Aussie Chardonnay seems so one dimensional. Brilliant Straw yellow. Beautiful Chardonnay nose of apple and peach, nuts and spice. Powerful. Mouth Filling, intense. Chardonnay fruit flavors plus a touch of oak. Less buttery and more tart then Cote de beaune. The texture and structure of the best California Chardonnay that I have tasted. Extended, powerful, fruit plus acid finish.
