Stunning wine that paired absolutely perfectly with baked sage chicken meatballs over parmigiana orzo.

Great balance of dark red fruit and acid and with enough body to complement the savory elements of the meal. Solid tannins, great texture and a medium to long lasting finish.

This may have been one of the top wines ive had in 2023. Perfect balance, soft tannins, lots of depth, full bodied and a long luxurious finish.

Herbs and minerals on the nose with black currants and plum. Delicious. Paired well with grilled beef tenderloin on NYE

When i pulled this out of the cellar it was only 2/3 full and i feared the worst. I then recalled that i had used a Coravin on it months ago. Happily, it held up very well and has aged very nicely. Plum, black fruit, a hint of funk, mineral and herbs. Well balanced and light to medium body. Nice crisp finish.

A gift from a friend who does not love zin. Served with our Christmas dinner which is a reprise of Thanksgiving.

This wine was rich and fool bodied with incredible balance. Lots of very dark fruit, modest tannins, depth and complexity. Layers of flavor and a true complement to the meal.

Served with our traditional Christmas dinner which is a redux of thanksgiving. I opened this a couple hours before dinner and after the initial taste I was concerned but it opened beautifully.

This was the second bottle after a 2006 Grgich zin, perhaps not robust but respectable. Lots of black and blue fruit, pepper jam and meatiness.
