7/18/14, 11:43 AM - I had this a week ago and my experience is very close to what you describe, besides the mousse, which was fine.
12/27/12, 1:27 PM - @vijayk416: The note is for the CdP, and the price seems about right. However I would hold on judging this one. In my experience Beaucastel is very hard to read early on, while they become amazing with age (min. 10 years). Even worse is that most CdP 2007s are IMO closed for the time being.
12/27/12, 1:22 PM - I still have my hopes for this one. I also found it great upon release, but personally I have found it extremely tannic and hard these last two years. Even to the point where I would doubt whether it will end up balancing it self. I find it too rough on the finish, somehow reminding me of some '95s form Neuf.
12/27/12, 1:16 PM - I agree with the other comments, Janasse has been making great wines for the last 10 vintages or so.
4/20/10, 11:35 PM - Yes, what a shame. I had the 1996 some time ago, and it was stunning - so naturally my expectations for this was also quite high. Corked bottles are always so unfortunate.
3/26/10, 5:02 AM - It is a soft, fruity candy. You can read more about it on Wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_gum
