This was good but not consistent with other notes. Maybe past its prime or maybe just this bottle.

This is very good. A bit hot, in my opinion, or I would rate higher.

PNP. This wine smelled very good but taste was wasn’t terribly complex and the finish was mostly hot/alcoholic. Perhaps it needed more air or perhaps I kept it too long.

This was nice but not terribly special. Possibly I kept this too long and it’s on the decline.

Opened two bottles and both corks disintegrated during the process despite great care. Each needed to be decanted anyway to filter the sediment. These really need to warm up and get some air as they improve vastly over a couple hours. As previously noted by others, the nose is muted but the palate is wonderful.

Very good but limited complexity. I expected it to open up as it warmed up and got some air but basically stayed the same over 2.5 hours.

This was good/very good but a bit hot and not quite as complex as the previous bottle I opened.

The wine was just fine for an $18 bottle but not for $50.

This was a confusing bottle. It tasted just ok after about an hour decant but nothing special - maybe 88. We moved on to a 2010 Dominus which was far superior and left the Cayuse for a night. Day two it had evolved tremendously into a spectacular bottle - maybe 95. We decided against finding out what happened on day three.

Definite licorice. This is a bit hot and disjointed as others have said. But the fruit is nice and it’s just fine. But expensive for what it is and my hopes were higher given the scores for the 2008 vintage.

This bottle never opened up like others I’ve had and has been the first one that seemed off. Very hot and not well-integrated.

This was in great shape and drank smooth right away as expected. Stronger finish than expected. This has clearly aged well and is an excellent example of a single-vineyard Syrah. This is about as high as I would rate a Syrah.

This is not expensive so it's not a bad QPR. But this was my first foray into Mauzac-based Brut Nature wine, and I would say it didn't turn out that well. I've been looking for a champagne replacement and this ain't it. The bubbles dissipated pretty quickly. And despite it being a Nature, it tasted pretty darn sweet. Kind of like a sparkling apple cider, as others have noted. This is somewhere between Martinelli's Sparkling Cider and Champagne.

This was mostly a pop n pour except that I decanted first. Clearly an exceptional wine from the first taste. Very smooth and an excellent finish. All sorts of spices that a wine taster would detail.

I'm not usually a fan of white wine but I loved this. The nose is excellent and the taste is very complex. I wish I had all the words to describe it but suffice to say that it had a lot of very pleasant flavors going on. Very different than your typical glass of white (for red-focused folks like me).

I thought this was really good. Nice nose upon opening. Short decant. Great taste and great balance. Not overly complex but pretty solid, especially for the price.

Based on the previous reviews I think this is past it's prime. It had a very bold, fruity smell on opening. After a bit in the decanter it was good but not quite on par with where it apparently was before. Taste was only somewhat complex but still pleasant. Wish I hadn't held on so long.

Day 2 - Pulled this out of my wine chiller and it was surprisingly better than when I put it away last night. I liked it a bit less the longer it was out. Wondering if maybe I like this a bit colder than what I would normally drink syrah.

The nose on this was excellent from the pour. I decanted two hours and it stayed about the same. Wonderful taste. Not an extraordinary finish but really exceptional otherwise.

This a truly terrible wine. So sweet it's sickening. Like a white version of Mad Dog or Thunderbird. Definitely not as good as Boone's Farm, and that is saying something.

Took a bit of time to open up. Some hard sediment in the neck which was odd. After some decanting time the initial taste was very good. Finish was a bit off. Still a good wine for the price point.

Decanted three hours. The nose was excellent early. Taste was excellent as well but not extraordinary. Probably would decant for a shorter period next time.

Magnum. I decanted for 2.5 hours. This had no nose upon opening and never developed one. Taste was still very good on an objective basis but extremely disappointing relative to others I've had (especially for a magnum). I presume this must have been partially corked.

PNP. This was very good but I didn't love it. The alcohol overwhelms what does appear to be a complex wine underneath. Didn't really improve much as the hours went by.

Cork was soaked all the way through but still intact. Lots of sediment. Nose was hot initially but settled quickly. Tannins were all gone and this was very smooth. Wonderful. Licorice and many other flavors. Loved it.
