8/18/22, 5:30 AM - Isn’t it Pinot noir?
4/9/22, 6:06 AM - It is absolutely stunning now! Don’t know if it’ll improve from here, but it still should last a while. I’ve found that most CA Pinots are great in the 7-10 year range, how about you?
3/28/22, 6:12 AM - You’re so right - when it came out a long time ago, it was top knotch. Now, and for quite a while, it’s grocery store plonk
12/14/21, 6:58 PM - AP - quite an impressive collection you have! I’ve spent a lot of time in Schaumburg! Worked at Motorola many years.
11/13/21, 6:04 AM - Thank you - I actually have to skip tonight, so I’ll try Sunday!
11/14/21, 4:01 PM - Thank you, screwcaps for suggesting tasting after a day or more. I didn’t get back to it until the fourth day and it was still good. The oak was much better integrated and didn’t really become prominent until the finish. I would raise the 89 rating I gave.
8/18/21, 3:02 PM - Still tasting similarly in august, 2021. I don’t think it is going to get any better, but it’s delicious now.
4/11/21, 3:00 PM - Looks like we have some of the same wines! Turley, Volpaia, Robert Craig ... you must have good taste. :)
11/4/20, 2:07 PM - That’s exactly what I just did! Among my sons in-laws is one old world drinker that “no one can please”, so I pulled out the barbaresco. I have a reputation for bringing good wines, so everyone wanted to try it shortly after I walked in the door. Result: most didn’t like it, but the person I brought it for, who waited an hour to get the last glass, loved it. Thx for the comment, and salute’
1/23/21, 4:33 PM - Thank you for the info! Very interesting!
12/26/20, 10:54 AM - Definitely agree that many zins have great QPR’s. I’ll reserve judgement on the Caymus until I drink it 5+ years from now. I’ve never been disappointed with it, so remain optimistic!
