My first Acclivi so take it with a grain of salt. Manly tannins but already delicious to drink with food. Next time I will give it more air and decant for several hours. With my limited experience with Barolo I would leave this a few years, but it can be drunk in 4-5 years in my opinion.

Fabulous and hard to describe. A massive fruit attack on the palate, not as undrinkable as the Mordoree for instance which means already good integration of the tannins and acidity. Multi-layered dark fruit. Needs time. I have 5 left and will leave them in a dark corner and try again in 2-3 years to see how it evolves.

Drank in Antwerp with Jeff Leve, Herwig Jansen, Michiel Carpentier together with 24 other Chateauneuf´s from 2000. Only the Vielle Julienne I rated better, with 97.

Yes, showing it´s age - much too young. Very tight and closed, tannins on the palate. Smokey and herbal undertones, no fruit, but promising. Should develop nicely, I would give it at least 3-4 more years.

Great value CdR, full of fruit and seductive tannins. My recommendationis to drink it young, but it wll profit from another 2-3 years in the bottle.

A beautiful wine. Lighter in style than many CdPs, elegant. But what a depths of flavours !

No comparison to the 2003 or 2004, a dull wine with earthy aromas and no finish. What happened to
the great value wine from previous years ? A big dissapointment. Second bottle but no improvement. Is there something I do not understand ?
