Brilliant straw colored in the glass. Expressive nose of lemon oil, peach blossom and a note of vanilla bean. Medium bodied palate is well balanced with kiwi, lime and some limestoney minerality which cuts through the palate. Nice finish with tart yellow fruits and more minerals.

Brilliant light yellow hue in the glass. This is reminiscent of Chablis. Nose is lemon and lime rind with a nice roundness. Palate is medium bodied and has great acidity with some chalk and more lemon.

Dark magenta hue in the glass. This has lots of funk and managed to out funk the 2007 Cameron WV drank alongside it. Lots of barnyard on the nose with dark fruits lurking behind. Well balanced with some plums and a touch of earth on the palate.

Dark magenta hue in the glass. Some barnyard funk blew off to reveal classic Oregon pinot noir flavors of cherries, raspberries and just a touch of earth. Balanced acidity and a decent finish.

Faded magenta color in the glass. Slightly perfumed nose of red fruits and pencil lead. Sour cherries, coffee and some earth on the palate. Medium length finish with some bits of orange rind and more earth.

Very ripe nose of plum with notes of raisin and a faint hint of cedar. This has more of a zinfandel character to the nose than pinot, however, the palate is reasonably well balanced but this just isn't well integrated right now and may never get there. Day 2 this did not improve and, based on the ripeness and the sharpness of the acidity, seems spoofulated.

Gold in color, full bodied. Ripe and lush nose of tropical fruit including peaches, apricots and pears. Palate showed similar tropical fruits and a little bit of sweetness. The finish is decent with characteristic spice elements. Alcohol starts to show as this warms, but overall a nice wine to enjoy with spicy cuisine.

Magenta red in the glass. Very nice aromas of cherry fruit and some earth, but a little closed. Palate was similar with more cherry, some Indian spice and firm tannins on the finish. This needs at least another 3 years.

Garnet red in the glass, medium bodied, tight at first with little nose, opened up over 2+ hours to reveal black raspberry and black cherry highlighted by juicy acidity and some fine grained tannin. Very nice wine with dinner at Joel Palmer House.

Tasty stuff as usual. Medium bodied, dark red in the glass. Fruit forward nose with notes of waxy crayola crayon and Eola rubber. Nice raspberry fruit with good acidity and decent finish. Still needs another 6 months to a year to come together.

Red purple in the glass semi translucent. Very ripe Cabernet-like nose with ripe plum and oak. Palate is similar, this tastes more like a cab than a pinot, but still maintains decent balance.

Brilliant yellow in the glass, medium bodied. Stunning nose of green apple with some pear notes and brine. Palate was green apple skins laced with an incredible minerality, and the faintest hint of oak. Finish was medium length and fine with hints of warm spices and some lemon lime citrus.

Saturated black red with a hint of purple. Subdued nose of dark fruit with some chocolate. Palate is full bodied showing more dark fruit with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. This lacks the acidity necessary to carry the midpalate and finish although it opened up over the 4 hours it was drunk. This seems like it was a product of the vintage and was a technically sound wine but just didn't achieve greatness.

Black red, medium/full bodied, slightly transparent. This was much more elegant and old world than the Justin Justification it was served next to. Nose of graphite, red cherries, and some earth. Palate was nice fresh fruit, a note of mint and then more earth and tar with lots of acidity. Tannins are present and are slightly rustic, but this has lots of charm.

Black red in the glass, full bodied, very slightly transparent. Explosive nose laced with ripe plums, cedar, and chocolate. Palate is similar, with notes of vanilla spice mixed with the fruit. This is still tightly wound with mouth coating tannins and a luscious finish with chocolate and tar notes.

High toned with lots of tension. This was beautiful and precise with oyster shells and lots of minerality. Fruit on the palate was mostly citrus, but some pear flavors showed through as this put on some weight over the 4 hours it was open.

Very nice, elegant and restrained with earth, cranberry and lots of barnyardy funk on the nose. The is very well balanced and is starting to show some secondary nuances with sous bois and dried red fruit flavors. Very good food wine.

Exotic and sexy, this is the complete package. Definitely ripe compared to the 2005, this is still done in a style of elegance and restraint. The nose is a volatile mix of perfumed flowers and ripe raspberries. The palate is seamless and balanced and the finish shows some structure and notes of creme brulee and roasted coffee beans. This will get better over the next 3 to 5 years.

Beautiful effort that needs some more time in the bottle. This was very smooth and elegant with tart cherry and raspberry on day 1, and on day 2 this turned more brooding with some structure and a concentrated core of fruit still lurking underneath. Not totally resolved yet, this should develop nicely over the next 5 - 10+ years

BIG!!! This is in the style of an overripe fruit bomb, but it manages to pull it off while maintaining some complexity and some semblance of balance. Very slightly verges on pruny, this has plum and raspberry with some cedar and just enough acidity carrying it on the finish. Went great with Thanksgiving turkey and cranberry sauce. Others liked this more than I.

Good wine, but the brett was pretty strong. There is nice minerality and notes of dried fruit, but the stink just kept coming back. This certainly shows a Burgundian flavor profile and seems to be in a nice place.

Impressive nose of both red and black fruits as well as cinnamon and other baking spices. With time this revealed notes of forest floor and rotting leaves which were ever so subtle. Notes of mocha and bittersweet chocolate also mingled in the glass. This is red in the glass and medium bodied and interestingly is already showing a faint hint of bricking. This is definitely new world in style but maintains a sense of Oregon with juicy acidity and dark fruits on the palate. A black cherry cola streak emerged after a few hours and clove spice also entered the mix. This is a very good drink and paired well with salmon with brown sugar glaze. This is pretty much perfect and will go another 2-3 years but isn't meant for the long haul.

Nose is very reticent. Fruit is there but there is a mustiness, some green pepper vegetal aromas and some stoney flavors. Maybe this just needs time, but I was not overly impressed as this lacked concentration and purity of flavors/

Typical Rosenblum, over the top with heavy toast. Very pruney with notes of wood spice and cedar. This isn't going to get anty better as the alcohol is very present and the fruit is tired.

Not a bad wine, but certainly not typical for a pinot. This does hide its stated 15.8% alcohol well, but veers more towards a syrah profile than pinot. Rich and full, this has notes of darker fruit and some earthiness on the midpalate. Finish is decent.

Fairly straight forward nose with slightly candied red and black cherry, some nice oak, and hints of mint and rose petal. Palate is similar, but shows more potential. Cherry fruit with a mid-palate minerality and a smooth finish with fine grained tannins which are present but nice. This needs a few more years to show more complexity.

Red/black in color with a slight magenta hue near edges. No bricking whatsoever. Nose of dark fruit, black cherries, some bittersweet chocolate, mint and bits of orange peel. Palate is silky smooth and medium bodied with more black cherry and plum, some earth and and fragrant violets. Slight astringency on the finish, but tannins are fine grained. Great 20 second finish with earth, underbrush and some graphite. This will certainly hold up for quite a few more years.

Typical Rosenblum style. Quite a bit of heat, very port-like and pruney. Some very ripe fruit poked through somewhere. Quite sweet, I doubt this was fermented to dryness. Surprising bit of oak tannin on the finish that coats the teeth. Not my style.

Beautiful nose remeniscent of lemon rind and fresh crisp Washington state apples, and a faint hint of caramel. This is gorgeous and the palate unfolds very precisely, starts with some lemon and a hint of orange peel, and moves into pear and apple flavors with an underlying hint of well integrated oak. Medium body with great texture, this just keeps going as the fruit is balanced against brisk acidity.

Black red in the glass, trnslucent with some cloudiness to it. Nose of spice and ripe slightly candied cherry fruit. Touch of soy sauce and some heat on the nose. Palate is simlar, with cherry, earth and some barrel spice, but finish has a slightly green tannic streak to it. Moderately enjoyable, but would not buy again.

Black-red in color with a very faint hint of bricking towards the edge. Medium plus body. Nose started out with some VA which blew off to reveal a mature core of focused black cherry with sweet earth scents and flavors and a hint of forest floor and smoky char. Nose became very perfumed after a couple hours.

Palate has the same focused black cherry although it is drier and has notes of bittersweet chocolate. Very pure earth flavors with some sandalwood in the background. Finish is long with nicely balanced acidity carrying the sweet spice and fruit interwoven with tannins which are smooth now but still present. This seems like it is hitting it's sweet spot but could go another 3-5 years.
