What a great nose i must say for under 20$ just wow! Nose had a strong touch of caramelized fruit with a hint of smoke the color was nice ruby red with a hint of bronze. Thetaste was typical zin had a great deep fruit and smoke with a slight taste of pepper and earth great balance. The Body was nice and beefy a lot of backbone typical to a good Zin! The finish was medium to long with perfect balance of tannins ....great zin all around for under 20$ would justify to nit pick at all the flaw wouldnt be fair this is one of the best wines for its value!

Upon opening had the first glass i needed to decant this wine for a bit needed a lot of air to open up. Once a good 30 - 40min past the wine opened up very nicely night and day from when the bottle was initially opened. The Color was vibrant ruby red with a nose of Fresh Fruit and cooked butter and cinnamon. It had jammy flavor which wasn't too strong with a nice hint of earth in the back ground ( wild berries, vanilla, and caramel). The body was quite light but developed nicely in time but still a medium to light body even though the body was light the finish was quite nice long lasting which was a surprise i tend to have short finishes with my pinot when the body is this light. Overall a nice bottle of wine giving it some time to decant of course. I didn't see this wine on here at all for review so I'm sure its not that common so i kept the cork it had the number of the vineyard so if anyone is interested here it is Elsbree Family Vineyards (707)217-4082

Not bad for the price great nose very floral and fresh fruit nice light ruby red color, the taste complimented on the fresh fruit mainly of wild strawberries more of a tart sweetness, body was medium to light with a light finish. Could been longer in the finish and more exciting overall kind of boring, but not bad for under 20$.

As the title intrigued me i didnt have high hopes for this wine this was on a rack on my girlfriends house so one day we said why not try it she didnt think it would be good but you cant always judge a wine by its cover lol!. Anyway apon opening the twist top and i was surprised it had a great nose of earth and young fruit, the first taste had alot of fruit and earth reminded me to some Oregon pinots i have had i must say i was impressed so i thought wow letting this decant for a while should open it up even more. Thats when i got disappointed it seemed longer i let decant the finish shortened and the acidity became more dominant first few glasses was definitely enjoyable and the last few well wasnt really feeling the wine anymore. One of those wines that gave me a lot of promise but had a crappy ending ..sad to say!

For the price this is a great Zin! .... the nose had strong hint of ripe berries you could smell the depth of it, with the taste had a very smooth almost caramel texture first taste which was followed with Oak , Plum and Vanilla. For a bottle that cost me under 20$ this was great had a velvety texture through out the drink. Body was great nice full body what a good Zin needs to be, slight tannins from the oak barrels and great soft finish. For 20$ cant beat it recommend it highly!

This Pinot was nice had a nice fruity nose with beautiful light red color. The first taste had a sense of vanilla with alot of fresh berries (strawberries and raspberries to be exact), The body was medium with a slightly acidic finish which was nice not to over whelming. Overall this pinot was great had better for the price but me i enjoy tasting all new kinds of pinot! This was another 90 point pinot in my book from the Russian River Valley!

I just bought this bottle at a local wine store ....the owner recommended me this pinot for around 10$ and being that i never had a pinot from Argentina i was curious. Apon opening i felt a nice warm nose of raspberry and toasted pine nuts with a nice granet deep red with slight hint of violet , the taste had slight hints of earth and strawberry but it was very light and bland not very rich in flavor. The Body was medium to full with nice backbone , the tannings and finish was definatly sharp and long lasting. I wished it had more flavor it was little bland but for around 10$ you cant complain had much worse for 30$ a bottle. I definitely wouldn't mind trying more pinots from this region curious to how they come out!

Opened it had one glass before letting the air get to it for about an hour but even then it already showed ton of promise. The color deep red color of a garnet, the nose very much of deep fruit such as cherry and plum typically for many California Pinots. The taste had a lot of dark cherry and slight hint of marzipan and cinnamon. Medium body with a long lingering finish that is very pleasant a tend to be beefier then most Pinot traditionalist but i love these beefier Californian Pinots, I took a break from wine for about a month and must say this wine really was a pleasant surprise for under 30$ definitely a wine to try.

At opening beautiful nose very deep with fruit, color deep burgundy red with no hint of purple. I tasted it right away and needed air so i let it stand opened for a good hour before drinking. Nose still beautiful, first taste had cranberry with more then usual earth tones from a RR Pinot but definitely great. Medium Body with a nice finish acidity stronger when opened then mellowed out with time. Overall a good pinot just have to let it sit for a bit when opened really develops nicely for the price cant go wrong has nice unique palette of a more expensive Pinot but with a price that wont take u for an arm and a leg.

Beautiful color deep dark red with a slight hint of purple, the nose was not overwhelming but had a very deep ripe fruit u can smell the deep sugar but nothing new exciting. The first taste had slight of dark chocolate with a creamy velvet texture turning into very rip plum and cherry, the body was very bold which tends to be normal for zins but nothing too exciting kinda bland, Finish was medium nothing to lingering but overall i must say nice nice wine very easy to drink and id recommend it for many newbies in the wine market that want to venture into some nice reds! this is nice for 30$.

Beautiful aroma of Cherry and Plum the taste and texture was smooth and hints of strawberry, blackberry very jammy pinot. The body was light with a nice finish with air the body became more complex and smooth with acidy dieing down a bit was beautiful pinot i highly recommend this wine also decant for an hour will improve it even more. BTW had a bottle of the more pricer pinot of the same maker the Dutton Ranch 2005 and i preferd this one

I had this and the Grand Cru which was 10$ cheaper..... This wine had outstanding aroma of cherry with a hint of vanilla with the taste it had a nice complex notes of wild berries ton of fruit notes in this one ,a Jammy pinot once again same as the other of this Maker i had. The difference between this Dutton and the Maison Grand Cru was the body i preferd the Grand Cru had a better backbone to compliment the finish it gave. This Pinot on the other hand was very light ... a wet pinot in my book with a smooth finish but light body many would love it i preferred the cheaper of the 2 but both definatly worth the drinking :)

Opened this bottle with aroma of Toasted pine nuts with a hint of blackberry, first taste alot of earth with leather and coffee and the slightest reminder of movie theatre popcorn. As many oregon pinots i have tried it tends to be more earthy then california counterparts. The body is thin what i like to call a wet pinot ( meaning light and non complex very short on the body) many people love there pinots that way i tend to like more backbone and bolder body. Finish is medium but very nice. Overall a drinkable wine good for the wine drinkers with a broad pallet for those who want the typical jammy fruity pinot probably not your cup of tea.

Great pinot my girlfriend and I both loved it one of our favorites recently. Beautiful Ruby Red , has a very pleasurable nose hints of strawberry, cherry, and rose pedals. The taste was very distinctive of fruits of blackberry, plum, black cherries, with a slight hint of mocha. Medium to full body with amazing soft tannins that lingered through out the finish. Longer the wine sat the better it got with the tannins and finish. Very good pinot highly recommended especially if your willing to spend in the 25$ range for a nice pinot. Personally i love 2002 Russian River Valley vintage one of my favorites in most wine haven't had one that i didn't enjoy.

This is our 3rd and 4th bottle me and my girlfriend had so far. Every time is the same her father opened a new case of it figuring maybe we just had a bad bottle but same thing. We opened it let it sit for about 30mins before drinking. The nose is absolutely disgusting almost smells like rotten vegetables not pleasant at all. First taste had a slight cigar, dirty laundry, and slight sulfur. The Body wasn't terrible medium to full with a nice medium finish, but if you have the lingering taste of the wine through our your mouth doesn't make it all that pleasurable. More i drank more it became bearable but we opened another bottle of cab from a different make and must say it was night and day difference. I wouldn't recommend this wine at all unless you have desire for a more unique flavors then go for it but not for me!

I will state again this was our 3rd and 4th bottle from different cases all the same so i know it couldn't be flawed.
