altho it had a chance to breath for only an hour, it had the expected big round blast that so often accompanies those reds with 16% ! alcohol. It rounded out nicely with very soft finish on the back end but I think part of that was the very creamy Quebec cheese plate and meaty hot pot of chili that was served.

very tight after initially opened; within 30 mins quite different in it's blush across the tongue. Lots of tannin suggesting will cellar for at least 5 yrs or more. Strong, strong dark berry flavour with spice and chocolate. Lovely finish and very dry on the throat going down.
