2013 Château Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc Pessac-Léognan Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend

Classic Sauvignon blanc notes: grass, underipe white pear, gooseberry, green apple all almost perfectly balanced with a laser like acidity. Delicious. Textbook contrast to New Zealand Sauv blanc almost completely lacking any tropical notes. Maybe a bit overpriced, but really nice. Super long finish.

Russk. Wine spectator Grand Event at the Fontainebleau. Perhaps my WOTN. The 2007 is close in style to the 2004. Soft, elegant, ready.

10/13/14, 2:59 PM - Yes, sorry, thanks for pointing that out. No idea what wine I was drinking that night, but obviously not a red. Pretty sure I posted that after scanning the cellar bar code, so maybe a problem with Corkz or my code? Anyway, as it's been a year ago, we may never know.
