Prior bottle was 1 year ago and the wine continues to show exceptionally well and with consistent notes. Red berries, red cherry, earth and minerals on a classically styled nose. A touch above medium bodied with red berries and red cherry upfront. These notes deepen through the middle and add hints of black cherry and red raspberry. Backside shows tart red cherry, fine grained tannins, minerals and earth notes. The overall balance that this wine shows is again a highlight and it leaves the wine feeling elegant and silky and allows the fruit to express its nuances and complexity. This wine is pure pleasure to drink. Based on consistent notes, feels like this wine is at peak, but in a fashion it should be able to maintain for at least another couple of years. I'll certainly be looking for more....

It looks like you have been following this bottle for a while. Can you advise how much air you have been giving this recently. I was thinking about serving this Thanksgiving and in my past experiancewas it needed lots of air then but that was a few years ago.
Thanks for your notes and insight

2016 Waterfall Pinot Noir UV Sonoma Coast
Nice Pinot with lithe frame and bright red fruit. Medium bodied and accessible. Light on its feet and easy to drink. Fairly linear in flavor profile. Red berries and cherry notes. Ok value. Some spice and new oak flavor influences as well but fairly straight forward.

1/27/20, 3:04 PM - It seems we enjoy a number of similar vintners in the Pinot Noir space.
I wanted to let you know this is available from Vivino for 26.99 currently if you have any interest

I bought this a year ago looking for a decent $40 Pinot because I had been a long time mailing list customer of Kosta Browne (since 2003 vintage) but the QPR lately has been challenging, especially adding shipping from CA to CT.
This wine was really solid, start to finish. Typical light bodied color for a Pinot and the nose was spot on with this varietal, with spicy notes on top of dark red fruit. Smooth on the palate with a medium finish that paired perfect with honey-mustard glazed salmon.
Another exciting note is that I did a Coravin tasting when I bought this a year ago about 4-5 ounces and left the bottle in the cellar since then. In my recollection it hasn't lost anything from the initial tasting so the argon preservation used by Coravin seems to work very well even after a year.

2/10/19, 8:17 PM - Just an FYI -i just picked up the 15 vintage of this at Toast in West Hartford if interested. I'm also told they sill have access to the 14 vintage as well. You would need to call in advance so they could bring it in for you. Both drinking really well.
