Ripe blackberry, little stemmy, Full bodied but lacking complexity. At LA UGC.

9/8/23, 12:16 PM - Hi Roger, Wendy from Monopole here.
We had this wine open in the shop last night and i agree with your comments. Also that it was a bit too easy drinking for my likes and surprisingly ready, for its age. I felt that if not drunk now it would decline. At forst the oak was quite prominent.
    Miss you and Tony

Having had this vintage for the first time in a Thai restaurant, Anajak, with an excellent meal, i had to get some for the house. I was not disappointed as the layers emerged fast and furious. First citrus, lime lemon and then the funky cheesy flavours, like a ripe Taleggio, then saline and minerally loveliness. Juicy, bright, medium+ acidity, very gourmand with beeswax and tallow candle. yep its one of my faves so far this year!

Rhubarb notes, tart, high acidity, dry with a slight italianate bitter finish. Great little summer bubbles with character!
