Tasting Notes for disgruntled goat

(2 notes on 2 wines)

1 - 2 of 2 Sort order
Red
Day 1 this was lumbering and intense, and rather Bordeaux-like i thought, with firm tannin and mild oak. I was tired and didn't want to wait up and try for another glass.
Day 2 was markedly better - crushed flowers, ripe blackberry, sage, and a pleasant soft earthiness, complemented by a cooling fresh acidity. Ample finish with a bit of spice; i think i detected anise and clove. Overall very enjoyable and graceful stuff.
I really liked this and think there is plenty of life in this wine and wish i had a few more bottles to open up a few years down the line.
White
Imagine if you stabbed a lime about a dozen or so times with a fork, and then squeezed it into a glass. That is this wine. Cool acidity and a near Fresca level of citrus tartness, but it surrounds a core of richness w/ a touch of oak that rounds everything out nicely. Not a stunner or anything, but a joy to drink anyhow.
