Cloudy from the first drop. Indistinct, muddied flavors: not worth drinking. Too bad, this is the second damaged bottle of four I owned.

Slightly raised cork but it wasn't a flawed bottle at all. Hasn't evolved much since the end of 2015, but I liked it then and I like it now. Fantastic with brick chicken and lamb/egg pasta. A ridiculous bottle of wine for the money ($22 at retail in LA in 2014).

Trouble understanding some of the notes. This was delicious on night 1, and I'm curious to see how it evolves over the next 24-48 hours.

7/11/18, 8:08 PM - Nope! Just opened the bottle about a half hour before. Drinking well on night 2 as well.

Pretty odd on the nose, with cedar and something rubbery (maybe tending towards acetone). Not unpleasant, though, and quite elegant on the palate.

5/10/16, 8:34 AM - sounds like possible reduction? do you recall if this got better with air?

A bit painful but far more open than prior bottle. Give this three years. Nit headed for greatness imho.

A ridiculous bargain for $35 from wine house. 10 years of age, good vintage, famous producer - you could do a lot worse for house champagne.

3/19/14, 8:50 PM - Give it a minute to warm up to 50° or so and you will be rewarded. Structure and chalky terroir will reveal themselves.

Fruity and smells like cheap rhone. Not a fan. 14% alcohol.

Delicious and complex with a long way to go. Enjoyable now. Cherry fruit, complex nose. Just really like this.

Opened for a very special occasion, and it fit the bill for sure. Perfectly mature, with plenty of brightness up front. Finish is nutty and old and long. Medium effervescence remains. Drink now and for the next 5-8 years.

8/30/13, 8:53 AM - I'd say 40 would be pushing it with the 1990. Never had any of the '00, but I can say it will taste wonderful in 2023 if it ages anything like the bottle we had last night!
