Enticing combination of cherry, earth, and a spicy anise. Almost weightless on the palate, with razor focused intensity of flavor, and representative of the Dundee Hills AVA.

Picked this up at Grocery Outlet for $1.99. Very drinkable, and actually tastes like Pinot Noir. Good weeknight quaff.

So much to like about this beautiful Willamette Valley Pinot, and just beginning to spread its wings.

Wow! Amazing development since my previous bottle from a few years ago.
This has that very appealing ethereal quality I love in Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.

I agree with the way ZOOMIN Z succinctly put it. I will only add that is an honest Pinot Noir, not trying to be a Pinot Syrah. Outstanding QPR.

Just the right amount of sweetness, and the grassy notes I like in Sauvignon Blanc. An ideal pairing with oysters and linguine with white seafood sauce.

Very encouraging development since tasted in July. More open and generous, now exhibiting floral notes, adding to the complexity of this very pretty wine. I am very pleased to see where this is headed.

Beautiful Bordeaux blend by an outstanding Red Mountain producer. In a great spot with room to develop over the next 3 to 5 years.

Crunchy cranberry and cherry fruit with a very appealing earthy character.
This is quintessential Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.

There was a time, I would have swooned over this wine, and this style in general. Now I find it overly extracted and oaked.

The fruit quality is there, but the oak presence is too excessive for my taste.

I might actually be under rating this at 93. This is a great example of Washington Cabernet Sauvignon matching up with Napa Valley in quality for a fraction of the price. The structure is there for years of development.

Amazing to me how J Lohr is able to consistently produce wines of this quality at such an affordable price. This possesses true varietal character, balanced out with ample acidity, and made in an early drinking style. Outstanding QPR.

Lush, forward dark freshly picked cherry nose, followed by same on palate. My first impression was overly fruit forward. But, with about an hour of air, a bit more earth emerged creating a nicely balanced flavor profile with mouth puckering acidity.

A subtle richness of varietal fruit, and mouth watering acidity. Tasted at the winery, and eager to drink the bottle I purchased with shellfish to be determined. Delicious!

About as charming and gorgeous a Chardonnay as I have ever tasted.
Creamy, lemony and just a hint of oak. A very auspicious first vintage from
new vineyard owners, Danny and Suzy Klieman.

Serendipitously learned about the ownership of Lonesome Rock Ranch being transferred to Danny and Suzy Klieman after several vintages under the ownership of DePonte, where I first encountered and was smitten with their Lonesome Rock Pinot. Intrigued, I scheduled an appointment to taste the Klieman’s inaugural offering from this esteemed vineyard.
The Pinot Noir was sublime, possessing crunchy red berry, spicy fruit, that developed beautifully over the 90 minutes suggesting that this will play out nicely over the next decade.
The enthusiasm and passion of Danny Klieman is infectious. And, the stage is set for great things to come for this producer.

Ordinarily Cab Franc as a single varietal is not something I am enamored with. However, this is a rare exception. Fun and expressive and ready to go at this early stage. Drink now or within the next 4 years.

Very nice representation of the Grenache grape, especially for being a first vintage of this grape by this winery. Rich in flavor without being overly extracted or jammy.
Drink over the next 3 to 4 years.

Bold and dense, but not at all pruney. This is gorgeous Washington Cab Sauv juice, possessing rich dark berry fruit, earth, and ample acidity to encourage another sip. Fabulous wines being produced by Frichette, and at a very favorable QPR.

A bit tired, but still a nice example of the vintage. I wish I could have tasted this a few years ago while it was likely at its best.
Atticus is one of my favorite producers.
A prime example of the ageability of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.

Great structure that should allow this wine to improve over the next 5 plus years. Terrific value from this small production, under the radar producer.
