Idk about this wine. There are things I like about it, and things I don't. I feel like it's missing something. The first bottle I had I popped and poured, next to a 2014. The 2014 outshined it. It just never came togetherfor me. I slow oxed this one for around 5 hours and it was much better than the 1st bottle, but still never quite got it. It has a great start, but falls flat in the middle, but then finishes well.

Drinking very well for an sin with 12 years on it. Tannins have all but disappeared. Delicious red and black fruits, as well as anise on the nose. Medium finish and well balanced. Drink now as this is probably within a year or two of its prime drinking window.

Yeasty and crisp. A lot of petrol on the back side. Went well with chicken wings.

After about an hour the bouquet really starts to show. Lots of dark berries. Long slow rolling legs on the glass hint at high alcohol content, that ends up masked by a relatively balanced palate. Medium finish. Delish.

Another superb bottle. Definitely made up for the previous corked bottle.

Big dark flavorful fruit bomb. Open for business. The fruit hides the 16.5% alcohol content pretty well. Definitely has potential for further growth. Medium to long finish. Last bottle was opened a couple years ago, and this is definitely it's best showing yet. Was so impressed, I back filled 4 more in my cellar.

Tasted a small amount before its 3 hour decant time. Open for business. Decant time proved to be unnecessary, as it didn't improve. After around 4 - 4.5 hours, felt like it was fading softly. Quite fruity and enjoyable now. I'd say drink now and over the next 5 years.

Fantastic burgundy. Ready to drink now with around 90 minutes decant. Should only get better over the next 5-10 years.

Nice ripe fruit. The high alcohol (15%) doesn't dominate. With just a little bit of air time, opened up beautifully. Would have score a bit higher if the finish was a little longer. Not too bad for a sub par year of CDP. Had with braised short ribs.

Great buy at $30. Crisp, balanced. Beautiful fruit. Pair well with a spicy homemade ramen dish.

Nearly perfect wine. Balanced all the way through the pallet. This wine is still young and could benefit from several more years. Nice long finish. This was easily the wine of the night amongst some beautiful wines (06 chateau ducru, 12 tignanello, chateau pavie, 07 Perrier-Jouet, 12 Wayfarer, 11 vieux telegraphe, clos apalta)

3rd and final time accessing this wine from one of my previously coravined (twice before) bottles. I think I enjoy this wine even more tonight. Drinking it without food tonight. This wine only needs about 5-10 minutes in the glass to really shine. The fruit is beautiful. Silky smooth finish. Very balanced in alcohol. Not as much nose feel as previous tastes, but I may have a slightly stuffed nose (flavor not affected). I had every intention of saving the last glass for my lady, when she gets home in a couple hours, but I'm finding myself drawn to the last glass. Oops.

Wasn't expecting much. Just wanted some bubbles. Not bad. Crisp. Light. Slight acidity. Lacks finish. Maybe a bit hollow. Very drinkable.

Accessed my first of 6 bottles via my coravin. Right from the first drizzle out of the device, I could smell the wonderful bouquet of blackberry and cherry. First sight of this wine shows one of the darkest wines I've seen. You can't see through this wine in the slightest. First sip reveals this to be a big wine. I get a bit of chocolate and oak on the palate. Tannins are existent, but not overpowering. The finish is pretty long on this one. As it sits in the glass exposed to air for around 20 minutes, it's really starting to come into its stride. If I were to open the entire bottle, as I will with a future bottle, I would certainly allow for at least a short decant. Overall a very enjoyable wine.

Bought this bottle during a 4 hour layover at SF Uncorcked in SFO airport. Had them cool it down slightly in the fridge for a few minutes and poored into a decanter. This is a big wine. The tannins are quite mellow for being relatively young. Definitely drinkable now. I wouldn't say it's great value for money, but in a sea of young wines, it's probably one of the more accessible, and I was very happy with my purchase at $110 with dinner.

Very fruity. Hints of chocolate, plum, mixed berry. Great stand alone wine. I tried to pair with braised beef. Once I introduced the food, I felt it brought out a very acidic quality to the wine. I sampled with semi sweet chocolate as well. While with chocolate, it tasted better than the braised beef, but neither compared to a fresh pallet. I remember really enjoying this wine ~4 years ago with a buffalo wing pizza. My suggestion is to enjoy this flavorful wine on its own without food. That is where it really shines.
