6/29/21, 5:06 AM - @Sheriff JW: Unfortunately the tasting is quite a while back. There were 12 wines and this is the average tasting ranging of 16 tasters. The overall quality of the wines were all very high. It might have been a bottle which did not show that well - but that is not surprising with such an old bottle. My experience with old Aldo Conterno has been very positive - so the 1976 could be a good surprise depending on where it was sourced and in which condition.
9/27/19, 6:57 PM - 1964 a benchmark vintage for Barolo. Also from other producers.
12/7/12, 1:15 AM - Nothing wrong with crystals on the base of the cork - just some tartric acid deposit. They are tasteless and would not ruin the wine. If the wine was flawed then the reason must be elsewhere.
