Great bottle. Drank this and a bottle of Silver Oak with some friends while eating some steaks. Both were very well received but the price point on this is definitely a little better than the Silver Oak. Big fruit with very low spice. Mixed well with the steak but not the side dishes. The remaining half glass was great with the choclatey dessert!

Not enough body for my taste it seemed a little boring to me. Not much complexity to the flavors and a little too much tannin. Was not what I would call a well balanced wine, but it certainly was not flawed. I give it a slightly higher rating just because of the warm reception it received from guests who drank this with me.

Outstanding bottle of wine. This is declassified Silver Oak (Alexander Valley). If this is the wine that did not make the cut at Silver Oak, I am very anxious to see what the "real" bottles are going to taste like when they get bottled in a couple of years. Very nice fruits, good spice, enough tannin to suggest that this could lay down in your cellar for at least a few years.
