- Crimsom color and aromas of raspberry and blackberry. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry with a light/medium body. Silky texture with a medium finish.

- Garnet color with medium forming legs and aromas of mushroom. It's lacking fruit and has flavours of mushroom with a medium body. Polished texture with a medium finish - This was a nice example of an old bordeaux. Past its peak, but still very enjoyable. It evolved nicely from decanting and in the glass. Not much fruit, earthy aromas and similiar flavors were less than subtle.

- Violet color and aromas of violet, blackberry and black currant. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry and black currant with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - This drank very well. With aromas of black fruit and similiar fruit upon tasting. The wine had little tannins remaining and probably slightly past its peak. It was very smooth and went very quickly.

I picked up 6 of these for $10 a piece and was not sure if they were going to be drinkable as they were not properly stored. This is the 2nd I opened. The cork was soaked and crumbling. Once decanted the wine was in very good shape. Dark maroon in color, Very earthy on the nose and consistent with the earlier one I had a few weeks ago. The tannins were subtle and it drank very well. After the first glass we let it sit and revisited later in the evening and it improved greatly. Some fruit , figs and prune, but still very earthy. Definately past its prime but still a very good complex wine.

I have been drinking these for the past few years and think they are at or slightly past their peak. Very light tannins bordering on being too thin but drank very easy. Very nice soft fruits with a great nose.
