Decanted for a couple of hours before consuming with filet mignon. It definitely got better as the night went on. Very balanced and aromatic. Thought it would be a bit bolder.

Had it with Salmon. It was a bit muted, but complemented the meal well. Not much of a nose, and was mellower than I expected, which was nice.

Was excited about this wine when I first opened it, as it had a very full bouquet. It mellowed after about 45 minutes, and had with pork that I over cooked. Not sure if it was the wine or the meal, but it lacked punch.

Considering it was 22 years old, I had higher expectations. Had with roasted chicken, and it was fine. Very smooth and mellowed. Had expected more of a punch.

The cork was two-thirds wet, so there may have been a little oxidation, even though I didn't taste it. Nonetheless, the wine was a bit on the dull side. Neither the bold flavors or bouquet that I would expect from a CDP.

Consumed with goat cheese, followed by pork tenderloin. Excellent with pork. The finish changed dramatically with pork. Very aromatic and silky.
