70% Garnacha, 30% Carinena this beautiful blend from Priorat pours out a lush purple-red. The aromas are layers of forest, rose water, plum, cherry cheesecake and surprise, surprise, marzipan. If, as Oz Clark says, a good Garnacha will have unexpected flavors, then this is a good Garnacha. It is full of flavors both expected and unexpected, a very sturdy, hearty and flavorful wine.

Deep purple red like cut velvet with aromas of cassis, plumb, chocolate, licorice, tea and raisins. Heavy bodied, bright acidity, smooth with a bit of heat. Medium finish. Loads of flavor, solid structure.
