One and only bottle, purchased 20 years ago with other Cal Cabs from 1980's. Touch of smoked wood, mature fruit and other balanced components. Long finish. This bottle was terrific, not at all tired and has a long life ahead.

Similarly fearsome dark golden but this one performed well. Last ounces became honeyed 3 hours after opening. What a joy.

Decanted for 1 hour. Meh, not flawed, just ok. Cork in v. good condition. Served with roasted lamb leg and ravioli. After dinner with sliced Parm. Nose somewhat inviting and taste is balanced but no features stand out as particularly interesting. Certainly not worth WS retail $255 offering. Drink up.

This continues to be a terrific Chablis. No sign of oxidation, just pure enjoyment. Glad a have a few left of this well made wine.

Decent acid and fruit but an off odor and hint of 'cheese". Would not re-buy.

Zero oxidation with very light straw color. Fresh saline nose and beautifully balanced on the palate. Paired perfectly with roasted Chilean Sea Bass in butter and sliced Castlevetrano olives, but it could have been practically any white fish or crustacean.

Double decant for one hour to clean up significant sediment. Attractive nose and from first taste to the last it was a perfect Cal Cab. This is what great fruit and a skilled winemaker bring to the table So fine, it will last many more years if stored properly.

A beauty, no premox. Seashells, creamy and light almond on the finish. V. nice and more developed than the recent '10 les Clos which was also terrific.

Tasted so bright 4 years ago on release. It's softened just a little and in a great place now. Pairs so well with cooked seafood.

Perfect cork, no browning, integrated oak, delicious Cal Cab example at 25 years. It's likely been holding this level of maturity for some time, and very enjoyable with roast Chinese duck.

Bright, young, tart cherry. Very fresh I'll wait 3 years before opening another.
