For the price, this wine provides a nice compromise in between the oaky buttery style which my wife prefers to the more acidic tart style that I prefer (in direction of sauv blanc). Overall, it is not a complex wine but easy to drink and matched well with baked bronzino. The score was 90 because we would definitely buy again although perhaps 88-89 on absolute scale.

Darker golden color, maybe due to oak or possibly the age. Definitely a bit heavier than our preferred style and with a slight touch of sweetness that also was not to our liking.

Cork was excellent. Color showed some bricking. Palate of medium fruit and only mild tannins. It was a great wine to sip alone and with our appetizers. Probably a good place to drink up the last bottle. We followed with another Brunello, also a 2010, Casanova di Nero, that had more intense fruit and more tannic character and it matched well with the heavier main course. Both were excellent I’m glad we drank the Pacenti first.

Not overly complex but a nice wine for the price. Modest oak. Not too buttery. Fruit slightly subdued but easy go drink alone or with light fish dish.

Cork was in excellent condition. Earthy cellar smell upon opening with mild floral nose after decant and airing out. Color beginning to brick around the edges. Light body. Red fruit, raspberry and perhaps strawberry but no overbearing sweetness and some residual tannin. Very nice and drinking well.

Cork was in perfect condition. Was worried based on some earlier comments. Intense and complex fruit but not overbearing. Alcohol slightly higher than I would prefer but it did not detract from the overall experience. Deep rich color. Drinking window still has a bit of time left. I’ll probably hold my last bottle until next year.

Cork in good condition. Lots of sediment. Color is bricking much like the prior bottle so it is showing some age. Still has the sour cherry fruit and modest tannins. Paired well with the lamb chops. A little life remains but the optimal drinking window seems to be starting to close.

Exceptional for the price point. Nice flowery bouquet with palate consistent with the blend (Chardonnay , Sauvignon Bleanc, Voigner); a little oily butter, citrus, & clean finish. Somehow it all works beautifully.

Noticeably better on day 2, even though we decanted. First day it was a little tart and better with food than by itself. Cherry with mild rose bouquet. Red currant and sour cherry. Second day could easily drink alone. Cherry, stronger raspberry, a little cedar. Didn’t notice the alcohol. Drinking well but hold remaining bottles another year or two.

Pleasantly surprised after taking chance on a very old bottle. Cork was almost saturated but still firm. Color like honey, medium gold. Smokey nose. Apricot and peach with tartness of green granny smith apples with butterscotch finish. Matched well with stuffed tomatoes followed by assorted Swiss cheeses.

Disappointed with this bottle. Tasted at winery and liked it more, enough to buy though expecting a fun wine and not a classic. Strong bouquet of flowers, cinamkon, cloves reminded me more of Pinot. Very light body with orange red tone and not much in the way of fruit. Cinnamon spice also on the palate.
