Full mouth feel with more stone fruit than citrus. Nice balance of fruit and acidity. As this wine warms, it opens up more so don't over cool it. Very enjoyable.

For the price, I expected better. There was some residual heat on the back end of this wine. Disappointed. Looked 'old' in the glass.

Drank without food. A little bigger than most pinots ... could have used a little more fruit on the palate. Good balance ... was expecting a little more out of the wine based on what I paid for it.

Beautiful color! Dark fruit on the nose and palate. Some earthiness. Nice balance of fruit, tannins and acidity. Drinking nicely now.

Tried to find what was right with this wine ... to little avail. It took over an hour to open up ... in the future, I'll wait longer before drinking. Nice pinot color, muted taste ... nothing really stood out. Hopefully the other 2 bottles will be better.

Darker straw color in the glass. A little yeasty on the nose creme brulee on the palate. Nice balance of fruit and acidity. Maybe a little over priced, but quite enjoyable.

A wonderful, teeth staining petite! Dark fruit, earth and leather on the nose and dark plums and berries on the palate with a dollop of vanilla. Great balance of fruit, tannins and acidity. Went well with my filet and her portabella mushroom.

Less jammy than sister wineries Pezzi King or St. Anne's, but very good. Young, but very tasty zin with white pepper spices and a little vanilla. Enjoyable with or without food. Enjoyable!

Still looks good in the glass, but a little muted in the flavor profile. For the price, this wine isn't delivering.

Bigger and richer than many other Sapphire Hill's zins. It reminded both of us of a Pezzi King more fruit forward zin and yet had great balance. Very enjoyable.

Not as fruit forward/bold as other offerings, but still, nice balance and a little more subdued than other PK offerings, but still enjoyable and that's what wine is all about.

A very nice, yet more subtle zin from the Wilson family of wines. The others, think Pezzi King and St. Anne's are a little more 'bolder', fruit forward examples of Sonoma zins.

An 80 from Wannaben ... really? Easily a 90 ... compares well with Pezzi King zins ... maybe not quite as jammy, but this had a little more balance of fruit, tannins and acidity. Very enjoyable!

This bottle had brick red around the edges of the glass and was tasting a little tired ... muted fruit, a little heat on the mid palate and a little out of balance.

Took out of the wine refrigerator too late so it was a little too cold at first. As it warmed up, it opened up, but this bottle had just a little heat at the end.

I agree with most of the previous notes ... I just think it didn't rate as high as others did. I was looking for a little more fruit.

I was expecting so much more as we tend to like the boldness of the Orin Swift wines. Darker straw color, some creme brulee on the nose and palate. Not quite in balance ... a little flabby, but did so well with the king crab with garlic butter. A little over priced.

In the glass, it's obvious that it's not your typical pinot ... much darker ... almost a lighter zin color ... fruit profile a little muted on the nose and palate making me think maybe I waited a little too long before opening ... waiting for a really special time, but then, any time is a special time while we're here. Cherry cola and strawberries on the nose and palate ... just waited too long for the price I paid ... my bad!

For a St. Anne's zin, I thought this wasn't as bold and spicy as some of the others ... a better food wine than just drinking wine.

Not a fruit bomb zin, rather a well balanced zin with nice peppery spice. Enjoyable.

I agree with the previous 3 tasters ... this is not a fruit bomb zin. Fruit, tannins and acidity are well balanced.

Muted cab characteristics both on the nose and palate. Better with food. If you paid full price, this wine isn't worth it ... if on sale, it's a much better deal.

As per my previous notes. Went very well with the panko baked halibut and sweet corn.

This is a 'yeah I like it', but ... we like the flavor profiles of the Dry Creek and Russian River zins better as they drink so very well with or without food. This Napa zin is more 'claret' style ... more balanced, less flavor and better with food rather than just drinking. Also, overpriced for what you're getting, but Napa real estate costs more, too.

Not nearly as good as the other zins from the Wilson Family of wines. Muted flavor profile for a zin ... better with food than by itself.
