Smoothest vodka I have ever tasted. Terrific purity and flavor. Not sure if wine rating 100 point scale applies to vodka but gave it 94.

Still tasting good.
The wine looks violet colored. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells and tastes like blackberry. The body is medium with juicy texture. The wine finishes short with medium acidity.

Been a while since opening another 2006 M5.
Big improvement for me. We enjoyed it with lamb dukkah. Strong wine with strong food.

See previous notes. Rose like this are made to drink as early as possible but this 2007 is terrific after 4 years!
Light strawberry flavor, light, terrific color, and has developed an interesting dry twist of flavor at the end.

See original score. Enjoyed several good bottles a couple of years ago. Recent bottle was either way past its prime or flawed. Next bottle will tell. Should have drunk these sooner.

I was disappointed with both bottles last night. Nothing special and nothing bad. Guess I was expecting more from what I was lead to believe was a 90pt bubbly. Bought 6, drang 2, gave 1 away.
May next 3 will be better for me.

Zins, as opposed to sins, are not too high on my list but this was good with several dinner guests asking what it was. Unfortunately, or fortunately depeneding on how you look at it, we went through 5 different bottles and I can't honestly remember any specific descriptions the day after ...
Cheers!

I've tasted a couple of bottles over the months and:
Too chemically on opening.
It is much better the 2nd day, pinotage flavor is there, pairs well with peppery food. Score based on 2nd day taste.

Excellent wine. Outstanding value. Light, dry, and good (grassy/herb) flavor. Serve chilled and very easy to drink. Holds it own with wines 2-3 times the price. Will buy more. Outstanding summer wine or with lunch anytime of the year for Southern California.

Stephen Tanzer gave it a 90.

Unique full mouth flavor but with 70% Sangiovese it is a light red with light tannins.
Organically grown grapes.
70% Sangiovese
10% Cabernet Sauvignon
