What a surprise. Decanted two hours before,cork was like wet cardboard. Very vibrant red fruits, still quite tannic, a very good old claret. Now I don't need to be in a hurry to drink the rest of the case.

Weak aromatically at first. Improved slightly after a few hours decant. Perfectly balanced, with surprising tannins on back end. Red fruit with a long floral, tannic finish.

Decanted after the cork broke. Tannic, heavy sediment. Very closed initially. Opened up slightly after 30 minutes. We felt this wine shoudl be laid down for a further 5 years until about 2012.
