I love Aussie wine, but this was a hot & viscous mess. Decanted but consumed without food, I'm not sure a steak could save it.

I love the flavor profile of this wine, somewhat restrained yet complex.

Wish I hadn't been to eager to drink these, they're getting so much better.

Not showing it's age at all, seems fresh with it's strong acid backbone.

Hot, sweet, burnt … has to be flawed to be this bad.
Cellered since purchase. One to go and I do not have any confidence that it will be different, it may be destined for the sink.

Had not previously had Les Cotes before, but a disappointing wine for me, disjointed and sharp. Perhaps it was that bottle, as I really enjoy his other offerings.
Red
Decanted. Deep ruby in color showing some age. Soft and round, oak, plum, licorice, medium weight with med/low acidity, medium tannins. Short & somewhat sharp finish. Overall, balanced and very enjoyable wine with Goat Brie.

Wonderful bottle showing some more complex flavors, typical Australian Shiraz profile.
Red
Overpowering anise aromas when first opened, but left to breath for a couple of hours softened the anise and developed into a very enjoyable bottle.

Lovely wine. The bouquet opened up after 30 minutes and continued to draw me in for the next hour. Slight bricking at the edges, decent acidity, Favors of tobacco, fruits, chocolate and spices.

Quite dark but had a slight haze to it. Aromas of cocoa and berries, I just want to stick my nose in the glass all night. Very smooth round tannins with moderate flavor intensity. A nice bottle of wine.

Stones and earth with lovely raspberry nose; medium body and moderate tannins, with a more subtle level of acidity. Opening up after 30 minutes with the wine putting on more weight and some complexity. Wet stones/clay and iodine. Nice wine.

Deep garnet in color with a very slight haze to it. Lovely barnyard, earthy aromas with a slight sour note such as cranberry. Medium body, smooth acidity and medium tannins that were very soft and easy on the palate. There was a tea element that I really liked, a nutmeg spicyness, and a couple of hours later the cocoa and coffee flavors were so rich and wonderful as the wine seemed to put on weight … just loved this wine.

Started out very nice but soon lost steam.
White
Nothing but overpowering vanilla, not scorable.
Red
Dark in color with a sharp flavor profile, but no fruit. Tannic and not very pleasant.

A lovely bottle of wine from the beginning. Aromas of clay eucalyptus, raspberry, rose petal, vanilla, herbs and more that went on and on. Slightly bricking at the edges, lively acidity that was matched by the tannins … pity the fruit was a little subdued, but gained more weight after a couple of hours. Nicely balanced, even if lacking a bit on the back palate, soft and round. But that incredible nose … wow.

Just a wonderful bottle with that couple of years on it, too bad I don't have any more.

Amber going to brown at the edges. Nose of leather. Medium to soft tannins, with slight acidity present. This wine is increadibly spicey on the palate, although seemed to lack fruit and much depth. Still a wonderful bottle. Opened for two hours during dinner, the wine mellowed and was enjoyable with a spicy Mako shark dish … but not one to keep for much longer.
