Coravin. Deep orange; aromatic, citrus peel, strawberry, interesting almost smoky aroma, like pipe tobacco; medium-full bodied with rich mouthfeel, medium-plus fresh acidity, medium alcohol (13%), some red strawberry fruit; finish is medium length. The aromas are quite complex and nice, the palate a bit on the simpler side for what I was expecting for my first LdH rose. A very nice rose, but not at the complexity of their gran reserva blanco, and even a slight nudge behind Musar rose. Will see what happens with some air. 92-93
30 min air: A bit of mint on the nose now, palate is fleshing out a bit more with some density and complexity. Headed in a positive direction.
1-2 hours air: Well balanced, enjoyable, certainly one of the best rose wines I've had (along with many Chateau Musars). Worth the $45 I paid, not worth the $100+ going rate. And at least for my palate, doesn't quite live up to the blanco gran reservas which can be profound.

Light salmon color. Fresh strawberry, Haribo peach, orange blossom, crushed rocks, and lightly toasted bread. Fresh and vibrant on the palate with great precision. I think this could last another couple years but it's so good right now.
