Absolutely silky smooth in presentation. aa little more fruit forward, but not fruity with the classic black tea and tobacco leaf, but more rip red plumb, exotic purple and blue fruits finishing with great acids as Tempranillo from Spain always does.

So much value in this wine I love it! Opens up with a little purple flower note lilac/lavender leads right into fresh rain soaked lomy soil, great fresh dark fruits, and an accent of pepper. Beautiful wine, but easy to chug.

A wonderfully complex wine that starts off with sesame seed, and other pungent herbs, followed by stone fruit and layers of minerality and pithiness. Sneaky acids on the finish in the most pleasant way. Became more and more complex as it opened up.

Easy, drinking with a little more generous fruit than I would expect with the classic pepper notes throughout. Lively acidity, and easy to drink.

Ploussard as quickly becoming one of my favorite Lesser known varietals. I love the light presents on the pallet, the high toned florals on the nose, the cool complexities of pepper and flowers, and almost a fruit leather essence. But so easy to drink, and even better a little chilled.

Absolutely in a perfect place and a stunning bottle to drink. Everything you want from Napa. Lush fruit but tamed with age, that beautiful Napa mint, cedar box. Everything in its place and was gone too quickly!

Not the harsh tannins or tobacco leaf I’ve found in most Temperance Hill Pinots. More generous fruit here. Could be a disappointment if you wanted a bruiser but a nice Pinot just the same.

Purchase six of these on a crazy closeout and pretty wild bottle variation. Some premox , some overwhelmingly reductive, and a couple bottles that were delicious aged white burgundy. Was worth the risk for the price.

Love how each different bottling from Chidain is a different expression as not all line ups do. Some riper orchard fruit with the classic honey, white flowers & wax but maybe a little more sappy fruit than others.

Recently drank the last of my case of this. For that vintage, one of my favorite Washington wines. Love the pop of Mourvèdre with all that graphite, but still purity of fruit.

Easily the best WA state Chenin blanc for years (until Orr took the title). Very Loire in style, honey, white flowers, wax and wool. Great viscosity.

Always enjoyed the Waitsburg whites. A little sad they are gone. Always great acid structure for a wine that could get too ripe in the wrong hands.

Always a different animal than the Corte A & B. Much more herb driven and vintage variable. All in a good with. Shows how the well sourced fruit is more of a window to the terroir and vintage. Still enough fruit to keep it from going to herbaceous. Always nice with a little chill on it too.

I always appreciate how Vajra approaches their Langhe neb not as a baby Barolo but as an easy, early drinking Nebbiolo that is varietally correct. Yes rose, tea and cherry & strawberry fruit but so pretty and easy to drink.

This one is absolutely stunning and complex and honestly at the top of the list of values of the year! Classic Pinot noir, red fruit driven, but with so many layers of umami, and sous bois , with bright, crunchy forest floor, but deep layered umami fourth floor. Absolutely love this wind only got better over three days.

Follows the same structure as the regular labeled Macon-Verze. A touch more complexity still the reductive nose, a little bit of nuttiness, yellow fruits & great minerality. Left the glass on the counter for 24 hours and was still rocksolid the next day.

Year and a year out one of my favorite wines. Classic Grenache notes of red fruits, leaning towards raspberries, pepper, garrigue, a little dusty seller note that can be presented as Brett, but in a good way. So regionally correct and I respect that.

This was a funky beast, but all in the right ways. Yes, there is some Brett, but as a condiment and nicely integrated, Worcestershire and balsamic, umami notes. The fruit is secondary, but comes in waves. Nicely balanced with the funky finish in a good way. Very rustic and old school.
