Light yellow in color. White peach and white fruits on the nose. The palate has a rich spiciness that I associate with Chassagne. In fact, if served blind, I would have guessed Chassagne. For the appellation, this excels.

Terrific wine, of complexity and lots of layers. Needs 2-5 years to mature and hold for another 5-10 years

5/24/19, 11:41 AM - The 1990 Jadot Beaune 1st Cru is still drinking well. This wine in this vintage will easily last 30+ years if cellared well.

Beautiful nose. Primary berry with some spice. Focused.
The palate is primary but seamless. The structure is buried in fabulous fruit. Very fresh and long in the mouth.

Ruby color; no bricking around the rim. Medium concentration and viscosity. Powerful earthy nose with some floral character. Soft tannins along with moderate to high acid. Angular, fleshy mouthfeel. Moderate complexity. Fully mature bordering on over the hill.

2/15/16, 5:24 PM - The bottle at our table was excellent due to the floral notes as well as the wine being fully resolved and ready to drink. This wine surprised me on the upside which is always nice! Not great but very enjoyable for a tough vintage...

This is VERY good. I know some don't like Corton but you should. The value here is really something else.
This is sexy. Red fruited. Exotic. Long on the finish. I can't say this is the best ever Corton Pougets because I haven't tasted enough of
them but this is darn good. A+
