This is a bit bizarre to be frank and I'm not really happy that it's over $24 a bottle with shipping. I'm all about trying new stuff and really looked forward to this example after reading Jon's pitch, but it's just not real drinkable upon open.

Like the other reviewer, it has a toxic Rubbing Alcohol nose. Tart on the front and a chemical finish. I've got 5 more to figure out what to do with now. Guess I got a little over zealous on Jon's review....

3/9/13, 8:19 PM - I don't like this wine now and if you believe it is because I opened it 20 years early then you are a bit gullible (or the owner of the estate). I have purchased over 500 bottles from Jon since I started tracking on this site, and this is my first return.

Wines can improve with age, but at no point in their life cycle from sale to peak should I find them offensive. While this is one man's opinion, this one man has the right to express that opinion. Let me know in 20 years if its improved and if you still have such a vested interest in public opinions of your wines.

Until then, any wine promoter who tells it's audience to not judge a wine for 20 years will continued to be viewed cautiously. And yes, I am still buying from Jon. You? I have a nice lot in AZ you may be interested in.
