Great pinot, very fruity, needed a good hour in the decanter to really open up.

This is one of our favorites, although this one was a bit "off" tonight. Would have scored it higher.

This was an amazing wine, exceptionally balanced, smooth, velvety, layers upon layers of fruit. Poured into decanter via Vinturi and then decanted for 2 hours. Easily the best wine of the evening.

We enjoed this pinot with an asian rub (black bean sauce) grilled pork chop. Decanted for about 30 minutes and drank over two hours. It paired quite nicely with dinner. A mild cherry nose. Crisp fruity taste with hints of nutmeg spices and tobacco. A balanced texture lasting into a decently long finish.

This is a HUGE wine. I had high expectations going into tasting this with the recent WS 97 score. I'd have to say it wasn't a 97 for me, however I don't think we gave it enough time. We drank it over a fairly short dinner and didn't decant. The wine is is very rich and dark colored. There's lots of complexity and flavors of berries, spice, casis with supple tannins. A nice long finish rounds out the wine nicely. I'd like to give it another try, decant it, and over a longer sitting.

Wonderful nose of blackberry, plum, and dark chocolate. Taste is very smooth and complex with hints of vanilla, cinnamon, spice, and butter. A friend commented after tasting saying, "This is very Shafer Hillside-esque!" Overall a very poslished and exquisite wine.

This wine really surprised me. Wonderful nose with hints of cinnamon spices and coffee and a well balanced taste with very silky tannins that ended in a nice long finish.

A bit wound up at the start. Sweet tannins hitting right at the back of the palatte. After 30 minutes in the glass, the bouquet really opened up with blackberry and plums. Full bodied, rich, a hint of chocolate, a very long finish. Overall still one of our favorite 'affordable' wines. It went well with the pizza we had for dinner and then by itself while watching a movie.
