Honeysuckle and vanilla aromas with honey, mango and guava flavors and a medium to long finish. If this had more length and tertiary flavors it would get a perfect score from me.

The 2000 Cantemerle has flavors of stewed fruits and plums with a tarry core and good balance. This is a backwards wine with plenty of backbone. I don't believe it gets better from here so drink up!

Dry finish with cedar and currant flavors. This is a nice value for a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

Fully open after a 1/2 hour decant it is a rich full bodied wine with flavor of hoisin, fig and black cherry a long finish and elegant tannins woven seamlessly into the rich full body. IMO this wine is at its peak right now, but it still drinks with plenty of vibrancy, so if you are looking for tertiary flavors of dried flowers and leather then wait 5 years.

Aromas of eucalyptus and raspberry and flavors of stone fruit, slate and pencil lead on the palette upon opening that evolve into brooding tar and loamy undertones. A solid value from a great vintage.

Blackberry aromas with plum, hoisin sauce and chocolate flavors and a nice core of black fruit with a medium finish. A nice wine that is a crowd pleaser and can be enjoyed without food but would pair well with burgers and chops

An elegant structure with violet aromas and flavors of pencil lead with chocolate shavings and a hint of blueberry. The finish is medium to long and is a fine claret that is entering it's prime drinking window.

Bing cherry and dry cedar flavors with an excellent balance and structure. From the excellent 2013 Napa Cabernet vintage.

Sage and mocha flavors with an excellent balance and length. This wine drinks more like a dry Bordeaux in a less fruit forward style and can drink now, but will benefit from a few years of cellaring.

Spice box aromas with blackberry and coffee flavors that is a little short on length and with rough tannins in early 2016. It is more structured, dry and balanced than many Napa Cabs and should be much better by 2018

Creosote aromas with rich flavors of licorice, tar, blackberries and menthol and fine integrated tannins. At this early stage, one might confuse this for an over-extracted fruit bomb, but the tannins, depth and length of this wine are indications of a wine for the cellar that will evolve in time. Best from 2019-2040
