First Quilceda Creek I've had, and really enjoyed it. Drinking maturely but still has some years ahead of it. Had a bordeaux-like style on the palate but a new world finish with great fruit.

Wonderful, mature syrah. Has really calmed down since the last bottle we tried, nice soft tannins. The nose has a Margaux-like quality to it... Excellent!

Frank over two nights. First night it was very closed, dry, almost pruny. Second night it seemed to open up revealing more cherry, but overall this was lacking the brightness I love in many Oregon Pinots.

Enjoyed with Thomas Keller's "slow cooker" pork cassoulet. The wine has enough minerality to cut through the richness of this dish while not overwhelming any flavors. Very enjoyable Soave and wish we had more!

Interesting wine... Had never had Vranac before. I understand that the "barrique" designation indicates this was aged in oak (as opposed to clay which is more typical of the region). The oak played very nicely with this... I would liken the taste to a cross between Zinfandel and Grenache. It was more fruit-forward and concentrated than I was expecting as well. All-in-all this is something I would try again!

Extremely concentrated. Unlike some others, I found the alcohol to be extremely well integrated, considering the 16.5% abv. Not something you'd want all the time, but was a great treat!

Agrees with others about it being a lighter style - more Sonoma than Napa. Was expecting a bit more but thought it showed better later in the evening without food (grilled ribeye).
