As utterly beautiful as you can imagine. We must have had a great bottle indeed - as it showed plenty of honeyed color but so fresh and alive. There is a slow hum of oxidation to keep things deep and delicious along with fruit cake and marzipan. One person at the table called it "bonkers". Breathtaking.

Mouth feel hugely different than nose.

A whiff and you'd prepare yourself for a huge, rock filled puligny with a bit of weight. However on the palate, light, delicate and gentle. Very nice but not monumental. A lovely compliment to caviar if not hugely memorable.

Rich, round, classical Puligny flavors with a subtle rocky core support a medium long finish and an irresistibly "Leflaive" moment. This bottle was purchased at Zachy's and was in pristine condition so I was willing to give it a try. Restored my faith in laying down my hard earned money on older white Burgundies. No nevermind.. I'm still afraid.
