Crimson in color. 16% ABV. Savory nose of red fruits, saline, garrigue and roasted herbs. Medium body with ample acidity and notable balance. Warm and supple on the palate. Flavors of cherry, plum, olives and pepper with tremendous length on the finish. Super CdP from an unremarkable vintage that is just shining after more than a decade. Best over the next several years.

Deep purple/ruby color. Ripe fresh red and black fruit on the nose. Blackberry, raspberry, black cherry. Savory herbs, violets, rose. Thyme, oregano. Pepper. Slight smoke. Wet earth. Hints of oak. A "greenness." On the palate, rich fruit remains, blackberry and raspberry. Herbs, pepper, stone, minerality. Very interesting wine that seems to be a combination of old world non-fruit characteristics w/ new world alcohol levels and spice. Fruit does not dominate.

This is nice. Light straw yellow color. Aromas of wet slate, sliced almonds and hazelnuts, and a light flinty, smoky character. Maybe a little waxy yellow and green fruit, but generally not a lot of fruit on the nose here. Medium body, acid, and finish, with nice texture to it, and flavors of pear and green apple, saline, and almonds. This was well made with a lighter touch and a nicely judicious use of oak (read: noticeable but balanced); dare I say "Burgundian?"—at any rate, well done. Should've probably gotten more than 4.

Strong mineral wet gravel nose with lite black cherry hints, smooth initial in the mouth with medium tannin and lite acid and short finish, black fruits, young blackberry and black cherry, medium alcohol . Unremarkable but I'd drink it again.

What on earth are you people talking about? This wine is an overblown vanilla bomb with a side of fruit. Absolutely horrid. Oh wait, I guess I understand why the general public likes it now...

Pepper and dark fruit on the nose. Low tannin, medium body. Baking spices and blackberry. Incredibly smooth. Great value for the price. Would buy again.

8/26/16, 2:49 PM - After opening and storing half in a 375ml container, the second day revealed sweet cherry and licorice on the nose. Minerals at the end.
